    Dear Friend,

IPS stands for Indian police Services comes under civil services, civil services examination is conducts by Union Public Service Commission once in every year.

For that exam you should be graduate from any recognized university and also can apply in last year of graduation.

You can take admission in any one of graduation course because for that exam it does not matter that in which fields you are passing your graduation only you should be graduate.

Your age must be under 21-30 years and you should be citizen of India.

    Good Luck....

    Hello My dear

    Yeah .. Definitely

You can Of course OPT FOR THE "" B.C.A ""

B.C.A --- BACHELOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS

So for that you must have a minimum of 12th qualification

AS YOU ARE WILLING TO BECOME "" I.P.S "" OFFICER ... YOU TRY TO COMPLETE THE GRADUATION

Graduation is a minimum qualifying Degree

For that you need to ATTEND for the """ C.S.A.T """ exam

C.S.A.T --- CIVIL SERVICES APTITUDE TEST

You must have a minimum of 21 years

Maximum age is allowed up to 30 years

For the reserved candidates there will be relaxation

NO .. WORRY .. BASED ON YOUR INTEREST YOU CAN OPT FOR THE B.C.A

    GOOD LUCK

Re: Can I choose BCA after +2 if I want to become an IPS officer in future?

    Dear friend,

you can CHOOSE BCA after 12th because there is no any restriction of course for civil services examination.

actually you can't become Ips officer by any source or any other way , if you wish to become an IPS officer you have to give a exam
which is conducted by upsc every year named as

which is conducted by upsc every year named as 'civil services examination.

you just have the following eligibility

    eligibility criteria:-

    1. you must be a citizen of India.

    2. you must be a graduate with any stream .

    3. your age must be in between 21-30 years.

    4. obc category the age relaxation is of 3 years.

    5. sc/st category the age relaxation is 5 years.

    6. if he/she is a central govt. employee then the age relaxation is of 5 yrs.

    7. if you are a physically handicapped person than :- 10 years .

so the two major requirements you have to fulfill ie:- the age and the degree of graduation.

if you have both, then you are eligible to sit in the examination.

but there is a problem in civil services for graduates with computer related subjects .BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO SELECT TWO SUBJECTS

AS YOUR OPTIONAL SUBJECTS. AND THERE IS NO ANY SUBJECT RELATED TO COMPUTER SO YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE ANOTHER

SUBJECT, SO IF YOU ARE READY FOR THE RISK THAN IT IS GOOD FOR YOU UNLESS YOU SHOULD CHANGE THE SUBJECTS IN

    GRADUATION.

    THANKING YOU>

Yes its your wish absolutely but think why you are choosing that if you are really interested in UPSC choose some very light subjects like B.A english or history or geography which is very easy to clear as the minimum requirement is a just a bachelor degree... no marks are required just you have to clear the paper....
