There is no need to waste you money by doing any of the professional course if you like to join the indian administrative service, but if you are not sure that you can clear the IAS exam then go for the BPHARMA so that if you not qualify then you will be able to join the private firm to earn money, or if your father is having a gold mine then you can do the professional course , because i dont see anything wise about doing the professional course because after doing the same you are not going to get the job more than 8000 there is a huge process to get to the 25 thouad rupe salary after completing the professional degree.
If you are a BA pass only then also you can give the Civil services examination , so believe me and if you are good in studies then never go for the professional courses because these are the waste of time and money because by doing the simple graduation you can apply for the civil services exam .
So it will be better to go for the BSc maths because it is enough if you complete and apply for the CS exam.

    Dear

Yes you may take B.SC maths for civil service examination. But keep in mind it is not a fun.You need to develop good approach and start your preparation from now means graduation years itself. You should download syllabus and previous years question papers of mathematics. As you complete your mathematics paper in graduation you keep on going completing syllabus of IAS also.Try to have better concepts in your subject.Don't study it for jsut getting a degree. You should have through concepts.Take your regular test yourself.

Besides develop a habit of reading newspaper everyday. That will improve your English and keep you updated about current affairs.See you may take professional courses but then your scope will be limited. You have more scope with B.Sc mathematics in jobs option.

Actually I prefer any degree which is easy to complete, because you may have more time for preparing UPSC exams... And your subject for mains also be chosen related to that... Like example if you take B.A. History... It'll be easy for you to make up in UPSC also if you are even an average student as there is nothing much to think in that subject but for maths you have to work hard in academics...
