yes, sir why not a average student can also crack the IAS exam. you just need to self belief and work hard to fulfill your goal. leave the negative things and just concentrate on preparation and success is yours.

Tips for Preparation:

• first and most important Manage your Time table and maintain your self calm and Cool.
• go ahead according to UPSC Syllabus for the exam.
• you can start for UPSC by study 6th to 12th NCERT books.
• Collect the best study material.
• increase your general knowledge, continuous reading news papers and magazines, concentrate on English.
• solving Previous year question papers is most requisite part of preparation.

Well IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.It is the most prestigious civil service exam in India .

IAS exam is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Comission) every year.

The following are the eligible criteria for writing this exam

+ You must complete your bachelor degree

+ You must be an Indian citizen

+ Your age must lie between 21 - 30 years

Upper Age relaxation :

- BC - 3 years

- ST & SC - 5 years.

+Number permissible attempt :

- G.C - 4

- BC - 7

- ST & SC - No limit.


Now coming to your question ,it is difficult to prepare for this exam on your own so you can join in any IAS coaching center.

and watch one national and international news channel like dd news and bbc.
read ncert book ...

Dear Aspirant

Who says you are average.Always thing you are best .Percentage are not the one which decides you are average,intelligent or genious.After all our education system has been desgined in such a fashion that student do start thinking so.Can a FISH climb a tree.Just think on the question.

First my advice analyse yourself whether you have interest in study not necessarily that you love solving mathematics puzzle,reading science deeply.Means you have patience to study and you love having general knowledege,you keep updated about current affairs,you have interest in reading newspaper,you love arts affairs.If you don't have any of them then atleast one best thing in you that why would like to become IAS.Because thinking and make it real life is not a fun you have to dedicate yourself for six-seven hours of study everyday.In whole journey you have to keep yourself motivated.Ultimate desire that I would like to become IAS and I will work hard whatever happens.I will made it possible.

If you have find this then visit IAS official websites (www.upsc.gov.in) and go through Patern of examination.Find out in how many phases examiantion are conducted.Which subject you need to study.Then download syllabus,question pattern and make a study plan.These comes later first think you have to remove the concept of average from your mind and prepare yourself for preparing the examination as the examination itself takes one year to complete.You need to keep yourself motivated throughout journey

Yes of course an average or even below average can crack the upsc exam if he/she has interest in this service.... Civil service is a feel, one should feel that servicing feel then only one can crack the exam..... Try to make friends with those who are preparing for UPSC and read newspaper daily... Involve yourself in any activity that gives you happiness but shouldn't disturb others... I prefer any sport because you can also be fit and your mind can also get some relaxation....
