Re: Can a final year B.E (Computer Science Engineering) student appear in IES and IAS exams?

finding the last year of the CSE architectural, you are eligible involving offering your IAS exam for the reason that qualification requirements is always that you will be the graduate student in any stream by known native american higher education in addition to your age must be in in between 21-30 years.
However you are prohibited to supply your IES audit, seeing that laptop or computer scientific discipline in addition to architectural is not the side branch which is entitled to offering your exam. Solely folks ffrom hardware, power, civil, in addition to ECE branches might provide IES audit

Re: Can a final year B.E (Computer Science Engineering) student appear in IES and IAS exams?

Yes ,why not you being a computer science engineer that is having bachelor's degree in engineering in computer science ,you are 100% for both the exams.

Let us discuss about both the exams:

IAS stands for the Indian Administrative Services .For this services ,UPSC conducts Civil services examinations every year once.

Any candidate who has bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized univesrity is eligible to appear for the exam.Even final year bachelor's degree candidates can also appear for the exam.

    It has three stages :

1.Preliminary test also called Civil service Aptitude test .

    2.Main examination

    3.Personal interview

IES stands for the Indian Engineering services. For this UPSC conducts separate exam called Engineering services examination.

Lots of candidates are confused that only candidates with bachelor's degree in electrical, civil, mechanical, electronics and telecommunication engineering are eligible for the IES exam.

But it is not so ,any candidate having bachelor's degree is eligible for the IES exam but there is one limitation for them that they have to give examination in above mentioned four streams.

The age limit for the IAS and IES exam are as below:

    General : 21-30 years.

Relaxation of three years to obc and five years to sc/st candidates in upper age limit.

Also the number of attempts are also same for both exams that four for general ,seven for obc and no limit for SC/ST respectively .

Re: Can a final year B.E (Computer Science Engineering) student appear in IES and IAS exams?

    yes my friend,

the answer of your question that a computer science student is eligible or not for IES and IAS is definitely yes for civil services

examination but not eligible for the Indian engineering services examination.

the reason is , for civil services examination any graduate are eligible to apply but for the IES there is a restriction of BRANCHES.

which means if you have one of the following branches in your engineering cource only then you will be called eligible to apply

otherwise a engineer graduate with the different branch will not allowed to sit in the examination are.

these branches are allowed for the IES examination:-

    1. MECHANICAL ENGINEERING.

    2. ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING .

    3. ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING.

    4. CIVIL ENGINEERING.

REST THE AGE CRITERIA AND ALL THE OTHER REQUIREMENTS ARE ALMOST SAME FR BOTH THE EXAMINATION:-

    AGE CRITERIA:-

    1. FOR GENERAL CATEGORY STUDENTS:- 21-30 YEARS.

    2. FOR OBC CATEGORY ASPIRANTS:- 21-33 YEARS.

    3. FOR SC/ST CATEGORY ASPIRANTS:- 21-35 YEARS.

    4. FOR PWD CANDIDATES THERE IS AN AGE RELAXATION OF 10 YEARS.

    5. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN AN AGE RELAXATION OF 5 YEARS ARE PROVIDED.

NO OF ATTEMPTS FOR CANDIDATE ALLOWED:-

    1. FOR GENERAL CATEGORY:- 4 ATTEMPTS ONLY.

    2. FOR OBC CATEGORY:- 7 ATTEMPTS MAXIMUM.

    3. FOR SC/ST CATEGORY:- AS MANY TIME AS THEY WANT (TIL 35).

FOR FURTHER DETAILS IN BRIEF ABOUT THE EXAMINATION YOU SHOULD VISIT THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF UPSC

Re: Can a final year B.E (Computer Science Engineering) student appear in IES and IAS exams?

    Hey
