For the civil service exam graduation is compulsory in any stream from the approved university.
The age limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years for the unreserved category, age relaxation for the reserved category.
3 years for the obc category and 5 years for the sc/st category.
Attempt of the exam for the unreserved category is the 4 times.
Times for the obc category and no limit till age limit for the sc/st category.
The exam notification is declared by the upsc in the month of the february-2013.
Preliminary exam is held in the month of the May and mains exam held in the month of the October .

The qualification required for the upsc civil service exam is the graduation in any stream from the recognized university which is approved by the ugc/aicet. the percentage of the marks is no matter for the exam.

one is the preliminary exam and other is the mains exam.
in the preliminary exam two exam is held both of the general study.
in the mains exam you select the optional subject from the optional subject list

you should follow some criterias as follow...

you have to be graduate with passing marks from approved university or college.

you have to be an indian

age limit.....
for open 21 to 30
for onc 21 to 33
for sc st 21 to 35

no of attempts
for open 4 attempts
for obc 7 attempts
for sc st no limit...

YES B.com graduates are eligible to appear in the UPSC exams.

Minimum eligibilty criteria to sit in UPSC exams is Graduation pass
Age should be between 21 and 30 years and OBC gets 3 years age relaxation and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxation.

For general candidates 4 attempts are allowed and for OBC 7 attempts

Exams are held in 3 stages-Prelims, mains, interview
Next prelims will be held in may 2013 and forms will come out in feb 2013
so start preparing for the exams

Yes,why not ,you are surely eligible for the UPSC examiantions after completion of your b.com which stands for bachelor of commerce and is a three years bachelor's degree in commerce.



The examinations for which you are eligible:

~~You must be a citizen of Indian Or a subject of Bhutan Or a Subject of Nepal.
