Re: Provide detailed Information about IPS and IAS exam? Hi IAS - INDIAN ADMINISTRATION SERVICE IPS-INDIAN POLICE SERVICE Both the exams are conducted by UPSC once in a year. Both the exams has same Eligibility that one must have bachelor degree from a recognized university and age limit for these exams are 21-30 years. For civil services examination there are many requirements which are such as : Candidate must be passed his/her graduation from any recognized university and also can apply in last year of graduation.Candidate must be citizen of India.Candidate must be under 21-30 years. The basic eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are as follows: The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university. Depending upon the rank, candidates are alloted to various posts. The eligibility required to give this civil services exam is any degree from recognized university with minimum 21 years and maximum 30 years for general category. There is age relaxation for reserved category candidates. The minimum age is 21 years and maximum is 33 years for OBC Category. The minimum age is 21 years and maximum is 35 years for SC/ST Category. The minimum age is 21 years and maximum is 40 years for PWD/ Ex-service men. Exam pattern: Number of attempts: General category- 4 OBC - 7 There is no limit for SC/ST.
