Both exam conduct 9 papers
extra physical test are include on IPS

No different on IAS and IPS exams
Both exam conduct on UPSC exams.
Only one different on both exam extra physical test required on IPS exam

Hey

Both IPS and IAS are the all Indian Civil services.
They have different different fields.
Every one has its own value and reputation.
So we can not compare or differentiate between IAS and IPS.

The procedure ,Eligibility and pattern of the examinations are same for both the exams.
So both has given the equal importance.

To say answer your question exactly there is only one difference. For IAS you have to work hard and crack the exams with good marks and improve your rank but for IPS you need less marks than IAS.. But don't mistake you have to study less. Put your hard work in the exams the rest will be done by the higher officials.

IAS exam is Different from IPS exam.

IAS exam is conducted to join Administrative services.

IAS exam stands for Indian Administrative Service.


IPS exam is conducted to join Police Department.

IPS exam stands for Indian police services.


Both exam are conducted by UPSC.

They have SAME eligibility AND EXAM PATTERN;-

>>>Graduation from a recognized university

>>Age limit is 21-30 years.

>>You must be citizen of India.

Exam pattern;-

>>>Civil services Preliminary exam

>>>Civil services Mains exam

>>Interview

IPS stands for INDIAN POLICE SERVICE

IAS stands for INDIAN ADMINISTRATION SERVICE

Both these exams are the all India civil service exam conducted by UPSC once in a year.
For both these exams you must have a bachelor degree from a recognized university and your age must lies in between 21-30 years.
Age relaxation is given to the reserved category candidates.
The exam pattern for both exams are same as:-

i)Preliminary exam
ii)Mains Exam
iii)Interview

The difference between the IPS ans IAS exam is that you must have a physical standard for IPS exam.
You can only give the IPS exam if you are physically as well as mentally fit.
All other things are same.

no there is no difference between ias and ips exam, since the exam and whole selection procedure is same for both. the exam is civil services examination.

you just asking about the difference between IPS and IAS exam.
But I want to tell you that there is no difference between them .
If you want a miner difference is physically fit.
Otherwise no difference between them .
