Hi Aspirant, Of course friend you can apply for Civil service examination while appearing final year in BE. UPSC also allows such candidates who are appearing in final year of graduation. Required Qualification for UPSC exam You should be graduate from any discipline university Final year students are also eligible. Your age should be 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation to eligible category SC/ST age limit 21 to 35 years OBC age limit 21 to 33 years Exam patter You can apply for UPSC exam Online and offline. Dear Applicant, -The candidates who are in the final year of their Graduation or Equivalent,need to produce their Passing Certificate and score card at the time of the Mains and Interviews. -Hence,as you have mentioned,if you manage to clear your BTech final semester before the Mains and Interviews,THEN THERE IS NO REASON WHY YOU CAN'T APPEAR FOR THE CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS. -The complete eligibility requirements of the Civil Service Exams are mentioned below- :: ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :: # You must be a citizen of India, or,You must be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India before 1962. # You must be 21 to 30 Years of age. The upper age limit is however relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and ex-servicemen AND by 3 years for OBC candidates. # You must be a Graduate or equivalent,in any subject or stream from a recognized university. "Final year students are also applicable." # The General Category students are allowed 04 number of attempts.It is raised to 07 for OBC candidates and unlimited for the SC/ST candidates. -If you fulfil the criteria,then you can apply for the exams. -The release of forms are notified on the official website of UPSC in the month of January.The last date to apply is until about the first week of March. -The exams are conducted in three phases,namely, *The Preliminary Exams. *The Mains Exams. *The Interviews. Dear, It's good to know that you will complete B.Tech before Mains and interview and noticing the same you are quite eligible for the Civil Services Exams. So, without any hesitation you can apply for the same. Work hard, don't take it lightly, because you will loss one precious chance if you belongs to General Category. Good Luck...

Yes you can apply for the UPSC IES examination i.e. engineering services examination. If you are appearing in your last semester exam of your university then you can apply for the UPSC exam. You can apply online for these examinations at www.upsconline.nic.in The eligibility criteria for appearing in UPSC exam is Graduation in any stream from a recognized university. The Age limit for UPSC exam is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. If you are appearing in 2012 UPSC exam then your age should between 2 August 1982 to 1 August 1991. There is five years relaxation for the SC/ST candidates.
