UPSC conduct Civil Services Exam for the posts like IAS,IPS,IRS etc. Civil Services Prelims exam is conducted for checking the eligibility of aspirants for Civil Services Mains Exam. Candidates who clear the Prelims Exam are eligible for Mains Exam.

Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:

>>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation in any discipline.


>>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.


Important dates of Civil Services exam in 2013:


CSAT(Prelims):
date of Notification:05.03.2013
last date of receipt of application:04.04.2013
date of exam:26.05.2013


Mains:
date of exam:01-12-2013

Union Public Service Commission conducts the various competitive exam every year.

It conducts the following exam

ICS

IAS

IFS

IRS

NDA

CDS

SCRA

CPF

Etc.


Qualification for civil service exam

Your age should be 21 to 30 years

Your qualification should be graduate from recognized university or its equivalent

Final year student can also apply

Age relaxation as per government norms

SC/ST + 5 years

OBC + 3 years

PH + 10 years

You must be Indian.

Date of Notification : 04/2/12

Last date for receipt of application : 05/3/12

Date of examination : 20/5/12


You can apply for UPSC exam through Online and Offline mode.

---At present,there has been no notifications as such from the Union Public Service Commission,indicating the dates of the CIVIL SERVICE EXAMS.
---The application forms will be released by the end of January,and the las date of apply will be about in the first week of March.
---You can apply either ONLINE on the website mentioned aside-www.upsconline.nic.in
OR, You can apply OFFLINE by purchasing the application kit from your nearest main branch Post Office,with a price of Rs 20/-.
---The tentative dates of the preliminary exam is in the second week of May.The Mains will follow in the months of October and November.You will have to clear the Preliminary,to qualify for the Mains.
---But however,dice the dates are not sure,you should concentrate on the preparations of your exams.There have been no change in pattern,and so you can keep yourself ready as with the previous year pattern.
---Solve a lot of model papers,as the exam are bound to happen about the tentative dates only.
---For further details and notifications regarding the Civil Service exams,visit the official website of the UPSC-www.upsc.gov.in

The UPSC has not sent the 2013 examination calender yet. The examination calender of 2013 may be available at the end of the year 2012. Thank You.
