as CSAT or IAS exam is one of the most tough exam of the country therefore it is very much important for you to start your preparation in a right manner and excel through it very accurately.
As you are just staring the preparation, it is very much essential that you focus on the general studies and the current affairs.
Make a habit of Reading the English newspaper daily, and subscribe to a good magazine like frontline, yojana, mainstream etc.
Thereafter you need to study the NCERT books along with the books on quantitave aptitude, which will help you to prepare yourself for the second paper of the CSAT.

first of all i want to say that believe in yourself and just think that you can do it and crack the exam. CSAT is conducted only for screening for mains exam. candidates who clears the CSAT exam only allowed to apply for Mains Exam. you just need to remember three words Hard Work, Willpower, Dedication. If you work on these three things then i assure you you will definitely crack the exam.

Tips For Preparation for CSAT:

1. Understand the test by going through CSAT Syllabus and CSAT previous year papers.
2. Read newspapers and magazine it will prepare you for current affairs and take notes of important head lines.
3. Read books on General Knowledge.
4. Improve your aptitude.
5. Solve previous year papers for CSAT.
