    For applying to SCRA exam 2014, the age should be betwqeen 17 to 21 years as on 01/01/2014. However, the date for making application to the SCRA 2014 is over and exam is on 12/01/2014.

    For attempting SCRA exam a Candidate must have the age of 17 and SHOULD NOT ATTAINED THE AGE OF 21.
    Age relaxation is taken into consideration for only Scheduled and Backward classes.

    yes, one can apply for SCRA exam within the age limit 21 years. the eligibility criteria for SCRA in age limit is 17-21 years not above or below it.

    not , you can't apply for scra if you running in 22 years. You can apply for scra till the age of completion of 21 years.

    17-21 years on 1st August of the year of examination.... certain categories of persons as specified in the Notice are eligible for age relaxation.

    Sorry dude, If you are completed the 21 years age. Then you are not allowed to appear for the SCRA exam. The 21 years is the maximum age limit to appear in the exam. If Your age instead of 22, 21 is running then in that case you will be allowed to appear in the exam.

    no you are not eliegable due to over age but you can easily get scra post by going throuh promotion,because in railway 50 % post are direct requrement by exam and 50 % post by permotion

    I am sorry to say but as you have completed your 21 years limit hence you are not allowed to give the exam.
    Because for giving the SCRA exam, the eligibility is that you need to be a 12th class passed/appeared from a recognized indian board and your age should be in between 16-21 years and if your age crosses the 21 years mark, after that you are no more eligible for giving the exam.

    Dear friend
    UPSC conduct examination for the selection of candidates for the appointment as Special Class Railway Apprentice i mechanical department Indian Railways.

    The notice for the examination along with forms and syllabus is brought out by UPSC around the month of June-July.

    According to new rules the exams are conducted once inn two years.

    Eligibility:

    *The candidate must have completed it's intermediate with first or second division.

    *Age limit is 17-21 years.

    *The candidate must be Indian.

    *The candidate must be physically fit.

    to appear for the exam


    The minimum Eligibility Criteria you must follow is given below for you---

    S.C.R.A. --- SPECIAL CLASS RAILWAY APPRENTICE EXAM

    This SCRA exam is conducted by the " Union Public Service Commission "

    The minimum qualification must be " 12th " class from a recognized university

    It should be possessed from the " State Board / Central Board " of university

    You must be an Indian Citizen


    The minimum age must be " 17 " years

    And the Maximum age is allowed up to " 21 " years only


    Of course there is an age relaxation for the reserved candidates

    BUT YOU BELONG TO THE " GENERAL " CATEGORY

    AND SO YOU DO NOT AVAIL ANY AGE RELAXATION AT ALL



    Once again I am Sorry to Say this .. you are NOT ELIGIBLE to appear for the exam

    ## It is sorry to say that, you are not eligible to apply for SCRA EXAM conducted by UPSC because your age is above 21 years & belongs to General category
    ## Age limit to apply for Special Class Railway Apprentices(SCRA) exam is 17-21 years & the age relaxations are
    ~>3 years for OBC candidates
    ~>5 years for SC/ST candidates
    ## And the minimum educational qualification required to apply for SCRA EXAMINATION is 12th(intermediate) pass in 1st or 2nd division with Mathematics,Physics and Chemistry subjects from recognised institution
    ## Selection procedure of SCRA EXAM is

    As per UPSC eligibility criteria Age limit for SCRA is different for different castes

    AGE LIMIT:

    For Generals: Minimum Age- 17 Years, Maximum Age- 21 years.

    For OBC: Minimum Age- 17 years, Maximum Age- 24 years.

    For SC/ST: Minimum Age- 17 years, Maximum Age- 26 years.

    For Physically Handicapped: Minimum Age- 17 years, Maximum Age- 31 years.

    SO OF YOU BELONGS TO GENERAL CATEGORY THEN YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR SCRA. BUT IF YOU BELONGS TO SC/ST/OBC or Physically disable THEN YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SCRA AS PER YOUR AGE:

    OTHER QUALIFICATION REQUIRED FOR SCRA:

    -> You have to pass Class Class XII exam from recognized Board with Mathematics and at least one of Physics and Chemistry in 10+2.

    -> You have to pass Class XII exam in either first or second division.

    -> Must be a citizen of India or Subject of Nepal or Bhutan.

    -> Must be a physically fit person.

    VACANCIES AVAILABLE IN SCRA: 42.

    SCRA QUESTION PATTERN:

    There are total 3 paper in SCRA written test.

    All questions are Multiple Choice type containing 4 answers.

    Total Marks 600.(each paper 200 marks)

    Duration of Exam- 6 Hours.(each paper 2 Hours)

    Paper I contains General Ability.

    Paper II contains Physics.

    Paper III contains Mathematics.

    Sorry , you are not eligible for SCRA exam.

    For that exam your age must be under 17-21 years.

    Eligibility Criteria :-

    You should have to passed your 12th and also 12th appearing students are eligible.

    You must be citizen of India.

    You must be physically good.

    Male/Female both are eligible.
