first of all i want to tell you that you can apply for UPSC & SSC exams after completing or while appearing in final year of graduation.
Before starting for preparation manage your time table. Go throughout the syllabus for UPSC and SSC exams. and start preparation according to syllabus .
Read 6th to 12th NCERT books. also try to solve previous year papers for UPSC and SSC exams.

these both commisions conduct different exams for the vacancies in all over the country.
upsc conduct the following exam:
NDA
CDS
IES
CPF
civil service exam
for the eligibility criteria for these exams you may visit www.upsc.gov.in
all these exams have different syllabus.
exams conducted by ssc:
junior engineer
combined graduate level
and also some other
for more information you may visit sss-cr.org
you may aaply for these exams online by visiting there official website.
for there preparation you may join a coaching institute or may prepare by yourself.
some famous books are of arihant , R'gupta
as they conduct different exams so syllabus for these exams is different which you may download from there official website.

UPSC : Union Public Service Commission
this is a government which is committed to select and recruit the candidates in to responsible positions every year.

this UPSC conducts many exams every year each exam will have its own significance.

for example the exam which is famously conducted by UPSC is Civil Service examination.

this is the exam conducted by the UPSC to recruit personnels into the services like
IAS ;Indian Administrative services
IPS : indian Police services
IFS : Indian Foreign service
in this way there are nearly 24 services for all those services a single common entrance test is conducted called as Civil service examination.

Coming to SSC : SSC is the acronym for Staff selection committee this is also a government which will recruit employees into some central services like
CBI CID etc.,

for example if we take the examination conducted for CBI is conducted under the direction of SSC only.

Hi, since u are an it student u can apply for CDS & CSE xams conducted by upsc. Common subj. amongst the syllabus of upsc & ssc are GK, english, aptitude, reasoning, general awareness and statistics.In addition to it cds xam syllabus contains mathematics & cse xams is conducted in 2 stages preliminary(objective) and Mains(subjective). all the best

IFS etc.,
these are all GRADE A

SSC conducts exams like

JUNIOR ENGINEER
COMBINED GRADUATE LEVEL EXAM
STENOGRAPHER
DEO
LDC
AUDITOR
ACCOUNTANT
SUB-INSPECTOR
INSPECTOR etc.,
these are all GRADE B C D.

for UPSC study ur core subjects, mainly gk,english.
for SSC study ur core subjects, gk, englsh, aptitude, reasoning.
