    UPSC stands for Union Public Service Commission .

    UPSC is India's central agency authorised to conduct the following exams :

    1]Civil Services Examination
    2]Engineering Services Examination
    3]Combined Defence Services
    4]National Defence Academy
    5]Naval Academy
    6]Combined Medical services
    7]Special Class Railway Apprentice Examination
    8]Indian Economic Services
    9]Indian Statistical Services

    The commmission consists of a chairman and ten members.


    The eligibility criteria for the UPSC exam is as follows :

    1] A candidate should be the citizen of India .
    2]A candidate should be 21 to 30 years of age .
    The Upper age limit relaxation is applicable for the other categories
    3]a candidate should be the degree holder in any discipline from any recognised university.
    4] The number of attempts for the exam is as follows :
    General Category : 4
    OBC :7
    SC/ ST : no restriction

    UPSC means Union Public Service Commission
    upsc conducts several exams a year such as NDA ,SRCA,CPF,IAS,IPS,CDS etc

    Eligibility criteria for upsc exams is:
    1. Candidate should have completed graduation or engineering from a college under a recognized university.
    2. Candidate appearing in final year can also apply for the upsc exam.
    3. Age limit for upsc exam is 21 to 30 years.
    4. Candidate belonging to OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 and 5 years respectively.


    Age limit is below :
    21-30 for general category
    21-33 for OBC category
    21-35 for SC/ST category
    21-40 for physically handicapped .


    Number of attempts
    ::4 attempts for general category
    ::7 attempts for OBC category
    ::no limit for SC/ST category


    eligibility criteria for SCRA

    1.CANDIDATE must have passed 10+2 board exams with maths,physics and chemistry
    2.The age limits is 17 to 21 year
    3.Student must be an INDIAN


    eligibility criteria for NDA(national defence academy)

    1.Candidate must be an indian male.
    2.Candidate should passed 10+2 from recognized board with mathematics,physics and english.
    3.Age of candidate must lie between 16.5 to 19 years.


    Eligibility criteria for CDS:

    1.graduation or engineering from a recognized university.
    2.final year students can also eligible to apply for this exam.
    3.age limit 21 to 25 years.
    4.OBC and SC/ST category gets age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.


    Also,
    1. For IMA(Indian Military Academy) And OTA(Officer's Training Academy) student should have passed Graduation from a recognized university . And for the Indian Air Force Exam the candidate should be pass in Graduation( B.SC With Physics or Maths )
    2.for IMA age should be between 19-24 years
    3.for OTA age should be between 19-25 years
    4.for IAF age should be between 19-22 years for IAF



    Eligibility criteria for IAS exams is:
    1.Graduation or engineering from a college under a recognized university.
    2.Final year appearing students can also apply for the upsc exam.
    3.Age limit is 21 to 30 years.
    4.OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 and 5 years respectively.




    eligibility criteria for IPS (INDIAN POLICE SERVICES )

    1 Graduation from recognized Institute.
    2.Candidates appearing in final year can also apply for the upsc exam.
    3.There is no percentage bar(in graduation)
    4.Age should be between 21 to 23 years.
    5.Candidate be a citizen of India.

    Eligibility criteria for IFS:
    1.Age limit is 21-30 years.
    2.OBC and SC/ST category gets age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.
    3.Candidates should fulfill the adequate physical standards.
    4.GRADUATION from a recognized university with atleast one of the subjects namely:
    Animal Husbandry and veterinary Science, Botony, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry or Engineering

    UPSC exam generally synonyms to that of the civil services examination while upsc is an examination body which takes many other examination also othe then civil servics examination criteria almost are same for the most of the examination conducted by UPSC

    you can appear for the examinations

    1.civil services examination (for IAS,IPS)

    whose eligibility criteria are :
    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ::
    You must be a citizen ofIndia,

    or, You must be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan,
    or,You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India before 1962.


    You must be of 21 to 30 years of age. HOWEVER,there is a relaxation in the upper age limit,
    of 3 years for the OBCs
    and
    5 years for the SC/STs.


    You must have completed your Graduation orEquivalent,from a recognized university under any
    stream,or be a final year student in the same

    The number of attempts is 4 for a General category student,
    7 for an OBC candidate,and
    unlimited for a SC/ST candidate,until he fulfills the age criteria

    2. central police force (CPF) held once every year

    whose eligibilty criteria are

    1.university graduate of any stream either in final year/passed out with 55% in graduation

    2. age limit within 20-25 years relaxation in the upper age limit,
    of 3 years for the OBCs
    and
    5 years for the SC/STs.

    3.CDSE (for recruitments in three armed forces of indian union)

    exam conducted bi-annually

    in which age should be within 18-25 yrs.

    & one must be university graduate from recognised university

    there is no age relaxation for any cateogory


    4.indian forest services

    which have almost same eligibility criteria except the stream of graduation one must have atleast botany,argiculture engineering,civil engineering as a subject of graduation.

    5.combined medical servics examination

    for MBBS holding graduates besides all other criteria are same except the number of attempts are not limited.

    6. geologist examination

    for the graduates from specific stream's of geography.

    upsc exams are those which are being only conducted by union public service commission.under it many entrance exams are held like nda, na.,reserved forest forces ias ,ips.and there are diffent eligiblity criteria for different entrances and also the candidate must be an indian

    Dear Aspirant,
    ~You can definitely appear for the Civil Service Examinations after completing your Engineering in Computer Science,as it is equivalent to Graduation.
    ~You must also fulfill the full eligibility criteria for this exams.
    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA ::
    * You must be a citizen of India,
    or, You must be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan,
    or You must be a Tibetan refugee settled permanently in India before 1962.
    * You must be of 21 to 30 years of age. HOWEVER,there is a relaxation in the upper age limit,of 3 years for the OBCs and 5 years for the SC/STs.

    ~~Practice a lot of model papers and previous paper question papers.
    ~~As computer does not feature among the list of optional subjects,prefer the ARTS subjects for your Mains exams as these are highly scoring and even asked about in the prelIminary exams.
    ~Keep a positive attitude and manage your time well.
    ~~Self study is the key to success.
    ~~Work really hard.

    You did not mention the particular exam of UPSC for which you require the minimum educational qualification.

    There will be number of examinations conducted by UPSC like
    -SCRA (Specail Class Railway Apprentices) Exam
    -Civil Services Examination for IAS and IPS
    -IFS (Indian Forest Services) Exam
    -IES (Indian Engineering Services) Exam.
    -NDA Exam etc.

    The minimum educational qualification required to the candidate varies with the exam which the candidate is going to appear.

    For NDA and SCRA Exam, a candidate should have 12th as the academic qualification.

    For some other examinations like IES, IAS and IPS one should have completed Graduation.

    List of upsc exams are:

    9. IAS

    UPSC exam means Union Public Service Commission exam..upsc is the single exam conducted under which all the categories of civil services are contained..the eligibility criteria for upsc exam is candidate should be graduate and of the age within 21-30 years..

    UPSC is a combined examination for recruitment in various sectors. it stands for union public service commission. under this many examinations are held like IAS, IES, IFS, NDA, etc.
    IAS is basically civil service examination for administration of country.
    IES stands for indian engineering service. it is engineering background exam for mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and electronics engineering.
    IFS is indian forest examination related to wild life and forest depertment.
    NDA is basically a defence service through you can be commissioned to a high post generally ltnt.

    for IAS IFS minimum eligibility is graduation from a recognised institute.
    for IES one should have an engineering degree.
    and for NDA 12th pass is enough.

    wat s meant by UPSC exam?? Most of the people are crazzy towards upsc exams so i want to know about it .so please inform me what exactly this upsc exams means and what is the eligibility criteria to appear in upsc exams .
