In prelims, objective type questions only.
In mains you can write in tamil, but do remember that question paper will be in ENglish and Hindi
Also, all books are not available in tamil, you have to uy them in english and translate them to tamil. ITs pretty much hectic.

Hey there...

Yes, you can write the UPSC exam in Tamil, as upsc allows the candidated to take the exam in any of the 22 allotted languages.

But I must inform you that the parts which test your english language capability have to be attempted in english only.
Like in prelims, there is a section which tests your english knowledge, this has to be answered in english only, as here there will be no tamil version.

according to the new upsc eligibility rule final year students can also apply for upsc exams.first of i would like to tell you that you are eligible for upsc exams if your age lies between 21-30 years .
secondly you can give any of the upsc exam in any of 22 languages of our constitution .so you can write your exam in tamil also as it is one of those 22 languages.

Sure, you can appear for the UPSC examination as you are a final year B.tech student. Because the UPSC demands the Bachelors degree at any recognized university in any discipline as its essential qualification. You can also write the examination in your mother language,i.e., Tamil. Thanks...
