CDS stands for Combined defense services. this exam is conduct by UPSC twice in a year.

Eligibility Criteria For CDS is
candidate should be completed graduation with subject MATHS and PHYSICS, candidate who are appearing final year exam are also eligible

Age Limit

For IMA 19 to 24
For OTA 19 to 25
For NA 19 to 22
For AFA 19 to 23

You must have graduate degree to appear in CDS exam.
For Indian Navy age limit is 19-22 years.
For Air Force age limit is upto 23 years.
For Indian Army age limit is upto 25 years.
After clearing CDS written exam. You have to wait for almost four months for ssb interview call later.
In your written exam result you will know for which ssb you are eligible.
You can check according to that in Indian army or Navy or Air force websites.
As example you can get information for army ssb from www.joinindianarmy.com .

for CDS exam you need to be graduated in any stream from a recognized university,
engineering students are also eligible for the CDS exam,
final year candidates are also eligible for upsc exam,
if you want to join indian air force through CDS exam,
then you should have subjects like physics and mathematics in graduation.


also along with that your age should lie between 19 to 24 years if you want to go for IMA .
for OTA age limit is 19 to 25 years

Exam Is Generally Conducted In Month Of February & September.

-The Combined Defence Service (CDS) exams
are conducted bi-annually by the UPSC.

enrollment of candidates into the Indian

for I.M.A & OFFICER'S TRAINING ACADEMY - degree in any stream

The eligibility criteria for CDS examination is that you need to have an minimum degree qualification ie.BSC/BE/Graduation(any Degree),and your age should be less then 24 years and you should not be married......

After clearing this exam you will be getting the call letter for SSB(Services Selection Board) interview for 5 days(Psychological test,Group task,PPDT,etc)..... By clearing this interview you will be undergoing medical test for 5 to 7 days..... After clearing medical test a combined merit list is made on army website

cds contains four different kinds of defence services ie,indian air force,indian army, navy and ota. pple with maths and physics in their 12th and grduation can apply for 1st 3 of above and for ota women can apply with any graduation not particularly maths and physics .if u get throw the written exam you will be called for an interview which is going to be for 5 days n if u get selected you ll be caled for medical examination after that based on merits ranking wil be given .

to apply for cdse you should have completed your graduation or either should be in final year and should be between the age group 19-23 and after clearing the written exam you would be called by service selection board for the interview and after that for the medical and than the final merit would be made.

After completing 12th class exam one can fill CDS exam form.Multiple choice question like Gk,Science and current affairs are asked.After clearing the written exam a call for SSB interview is made for which medical,GD and interview are coducted,after passing all sort of tests one can be through SSB and ready to join any indian arm forces.
