yes you can apply for upsc exams like Indian Forest Services Examination (IFS),Indian Administrative Services Examination (IAS),Central Police Forces Examination (CPF),Civil Services Examination, combined Engineering Services Examination (IES) etc after completing your b.tech in biotechnology.

you can apply for these exam while pursuing your final year
required age limit for these exam is 21-30 years
Candidate belonging to OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 and 5 years respectively.

yes you can appear for UPSC examination after completing btech in biotechnology only if your age lies between the age limit allowed by UPSC.

eligibility criteria for upsc exams is:
candidate should have completed graduation or engineering from a recognized university.
candidates appearing in final year can also apply for the upsc exam.
age limit for upsc exam is 21 to 30 years.
candidates belonging to OBC and SC/ST category gets age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.

you are eligible because you are a graduate and all the graduates are eligible only if you fit in the age criteria .

for generals.-21-30 years (3 attempts)

for obc - 21-33 years (4 attempts)

for sc/st - 21- 35 years (no limit )

First, you need to know what is UPSC.

UPSC is Union Public Service Commission which conducts many exams in which Civil Service Exam(CSE).

CSE has a misnomer as 'IAS exam' or 'UPSC exam'.

Yes, you're eligible to write the CSE exam after your B.Tech in Biotechnology but you need to select other subjects as there are no subjects related to Biotechnology.

Yes you can appear in the UPSC Exams after your B.Tech. in Biotechnology.

You are eligible for every UPSC Exam that requires graduation or an engineering degree as minimum academic eligibility criteria ( provided you satisfy the age limit for the Exam and you have your B.Tech. degree from an AICTE recognized college).

The UPSC Exams for which you are eligible are:-

1.Combined Defence Services Examination
2.Engineering Services Examination
3.Civil Services Examination
4.Indian Forest Service Examination
5.Central Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination

Each of these Exam has different Eligibility criteria. So you should be cautious when filling the form.

Yes, of course, You can appear for the examination of UPSC, because the Bachelor's degree is the essential qualification for it. Since You are a Btech student, You can appear the examination.
