Gujarat public service commission selects candidates for state level service. I recruits both through competitive exam and through direct recruitment. They do not conduct exams for the posts of IAS/IPS. they conduct exams for posts which are subordinate to IAS/IPS
Competitive exam:
1) gujarat administrative service
2) class I & II posts of gujarat Engineering service
3)Range forest officer
4) Private secratary
5) Translator
Apart from these exams, they also conduct direct recruitment for certain posts. you can refer the website gpsc.gujarat.gov.in
Notification will be released in gujarat rozgar samachar and leading gujarati& English newspapers

GPSC stands for GUJARAT PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISION .
It is completely different from the UPSC .
Giving UPSC exam one can get the job in central government level .
While giving the GPSC exam one can get the job in Gujarat state level .
Through GPSC one can get the post like MAMLATDAR , NAYAB MAMLATDAR , DY.SP , DEPUTY COLLECTOR , and other class 1 and class 2 post which are under the Gujarat government .
The Criteria for the GPSC exam is below :
=> minimum graduation is required from any recognized university .

=> age must be below :
21-27 for general cast
21-30 for obc cast
21-32 for sc/st cast
21-32 for ex-serviceman
21-37 for physically handicapped .

***Structure of the GPSC exam ********
It consists three parts like UPSC exam
1) Preliminary exam
2) Main exam
3) interview

=> The procedure is similar as UPSC exam .
=> There are no fixed date for the GPSC exam like UPSC exam .

When the vacancy will create then it will give the advertisement for the post .

first of all i tell you that gpsc is not related with upsc,

GPSC stands for :- GUJARAT PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION .

IT WORKS FOR ONLY THE GOVT. OF GUJARAT .
and only releases the jobs for Gujarat state .


it is not related to upsc by any way and not offer jobs like
ias and ips.....
it offer jobs like
gps- Gujarat police services.
gas - Gujarat administrative services.

and so many....for Gujarat state only.

every state has its own public service commission like GPSC,RPSC.........

GPSC stands for Gujarat Public service commission.

The eligibility criteria for GPSC exam is :

>>Bachelor's degree in any stream from a university recognised by UGC( university grants commission) is necessary.

>>You age should be between 21-28 years.

>>Relaxation is provided to women,SC/ST.



No,GPSC is not related to UPSC because UPSC conducts the national civil services examination.

Also GPSC does not offer posts like IAS,IPSetc.
