The acronym for SCRA is Special Class Railway Apprentice.


UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) conducts SCRA examination every year.


The eligibility criteria required for the SCRA examination are prescribed as below:-

* Completion of 12th with PCM from any recognized board.

* Nationality:- Indian.

* Age limit:- 17-21 yrs.

* Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC, 5 yrs for SC/ST and 10 yrs for PWD contenders.


The selection procedure required for the SCRA examination are mentioned as below:-

* Written examination.

* Personnel interview.


SCRA examination syllabus:-

* General Ability Test.

* Physical Sciences.

* Mathematics.

Hello

SCRA-Special Class Railway Apprentice.

Exam conducted by UPSC.

SCRA qualification-10+2 passed with mathematics and any subject among physics and chemistry with minimum second division.

Age limit-17 to 21 years.

Four years study at Institute Of Electrical And Mechanical Engineers of Mechanical Engineering Services.

A stipend of Rs.10,000 is provided while studying.

Service in Indian Railway Service Of Mechanical Engineers(IRSME),a Group 'A' officer.

Selection Procedure Of SCRA.
1)General Ability Test.
2)Physical Sciences.
3)Mathematics.

Then interview-personality Test.

Next year notification released on 5/10/2013
Last date of notification-4/11/2013.
Exam date-12/1/2014.

Notifications released in website of UPSC.

All previous year question paper of SCRA also available in the website of UPSC.

UPSC conduct SCRA exam to get the posts in railways.

Eligibility Criteria For SCRA:

1. Need 12th or Equivalent with Math and Physics.

2. your age must be 17 years to 21 years. There is relaxation in upper age Limit for reserved category candidates: 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST.

after clearing the Exam you have to complete 4 years of training and you are appointed for Indian Railways Services and your starting Salary is 8000 to 9000 per month.

Minimum Educational Qualification:
Intermediate or an equivalent Examination of a University or Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.
or
Higher Secondary (12 years) Examination under 10 plus 2 pattern of School Education with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.

if you attend the SCRA class you must be passed 12th from recognized board or university with science. your age limit should be 17-21. SCRA exam is held 2 times in a year divided into 3 paper and a final test.
Paper-1-------general ability test(English,general knowledge and psychological test)
paper-2-------Physical science( physics and chemistry)
Paper-3-------Mathemathic
Final test on personal aptitude test can be appear those people who passed above exams.
after passing SCRA the salary started from 9000/- and above.

Candidate should have complete 12th class with PCM stream from any recognized university.
Age limit:
Age should be between 17 to 21 years.
Initial Pay: About Rs. 10,000 in the scale of Rs. 8000-275*13500.

WHO CAN APPEAR IN SCRA EXAM(Special Class Railway Apprentice examination)/ELIGIBILITY:-

-- CANDIDATE MUST BE INDIAN CITIZEN TO APPLY FOR THIS EXAM.

-- MINIMUM AGE SHOULD BE 17 YEARS TO APPEAR IN THE EXAM.

dear friend SCRA stands for special class railway apprentices it is the exam conducted by upsc evey year and to apply for that you should have completed your intermediate or should be appearing intermediate and as far as age is concerned you should not be less than 17 years and not more than 21 years after clearingf the exam you will have to study the mechanical engineering for four years and then you will be appointed as the mechanical engineer in railway department it is the grade A jod so your starting salary would be around rs40000

The SCRA exams are conducted once per year by the UPSC,probably in the month of January end.
All the students who have passed their intermediate exams or equivalent from science stream with a first or second division from a board recognized by the UGC are eligible to appear for these exams.
Also take note that his age must lie between 17-21yrs as on 1st august of the year he is appearing for the exams.
The successful candidates are taught mechanical engineering for a span of 4 years and after this period ,they are enrolled in as Grade A railway officer with a starting salary of about Rs 35000!
