The Geologist exam is conducted by Union public service Commission and this examination is conducted by every year.And this examination is conducted for recruitment of Category one and Two.

• Central Ground Water Board
• Ministry of Water resources

You can download from UPSC website upsc.gov.in. A separate tab for previous year papers are available(2008-2012)

just follow the following steps:

1)go to the upsc website "www.upsc.gov.in"

2)just click on the tab "previous years question papers"

3)select the year of examination

4)click on the exam and paper.

you will get papers from 2009 onwards..

Eligibility

1. Master�s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology; or
2. Master�s degree in Mineral Exploration (for posts in Geological Survey of India only), or
3. Master�s degree in Hydrogeology (for posts in central ground water board only) from a recognized university;
4. Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

Age : A candidate age should be below 32 years as on mentioned date in Advt.

Preparation for UPSC exams by solving previous year question papers is always helpful. i also recommend to prepare for exam by solving previous year papers.

It will built the confidence in you for solve the papers in final exam. Try to solve it with 15 to 30 minutes before the given time for the paper.
