to join airforce you need to apply for combined defence services
eligibility
1.you must be a citizen of india
2.you must be a graduate
3.you must be between 19 to 24yrs
4.you must be unmarried
being an ece student you may have the possibility to enter into communication side

As for exams you will not be benefited by your engineering degree but after selection you may be be allotted technical dept along with a respectable post.


You can join the Defence Service by Cracking CDS examination:-

• Indian Military Academy (IMA)
• Air force Academy (AFA)

C.D.S Stands for Combined Defence Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year.


Eligibility Criteria for I.M.A :-

Age should be between 19 years and 24 years and only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Graduation in any desire subject from any recognized university or equivalent qualification.
Candidates who are appearing in the final year of degree course can also apply for this examination.


Eligibility Criteria for Air force :-

The candidates should have a 19 years to 23 years and only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
Graduate or Engineering degree from any recognized university or equivalent qualification with Physics and Mathematics in 12th level.
Candidates who are appearing in the final year of degree course can also apply for this examination.

to join in the armed forces you have to appear in the combined defence services exam conducted by the upsc

CDS exam is conducted twice the year as CDS-I and CDS-II

the notifications will be generally out in the months of june and october.

by writing cds you can join army,navy,airforce and OTA.

you are eligible to write CDS either after completing your degree or during your final year.

you will scope to use your technical knowledge after selection.

u can apply for CDS exam ( Combined defense services examination) which give chance to select in indian forces as offcer , yes ur engg degree help u in join forces because u can apply for militry engg services in forces . upsc conduct 2 time in year and fee is 200 RS and
AGE LIMITS.
For IMA : 19 To 24 Years.
For OTA : 19 To 25 Years.
For NAVY : 19 To 22 Years.
For AIR FORCE : 19 To 23 Years.

You can apply for Combined defense services examination which is conducted twice a year by UPSC. You degree will be eligible but not beneficial for you in this exam, because in written your english, maths and general knowledge skills are tested. After clearing the interview, your physical skills are tested. It may help you after you have joined in air force but not while preparing
