B.Sc-physics and maths
Age-19 to 22 years

Indian Air Force--AFA-Air Force Academy
Graduation from any stream with physics and maths in 10+2
Age-19 to 23 years

dear aspirant the CDS examination is conducted twice a year by upsc for the aspirants of armed forces.
this years CDS I examination is already conduced by upsc.
and CDS II examination is going to be held on 17 august this years .
so if you have applied for the CDS II examination then you can surely join INDIAN ARMY this years
while if it is not so then you have to wait for the next years CDS examinations .

for the CDS examination to join IMA you need to be graduate in any stream.
age limit to apply for this exam for IMA is 19-24 years .
OBC and SC/ST category gets an age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.

but according to your age you can not apply for the next years CDS examination
if you belong to general category.
you can apply for the CDS examination next year if you are OBC or a SC/ST aspirant.

the CDS Examination comprises of three papers namely
ENGLISH
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
MATHEMATICS(elementary maths)
to succeed in this examination you have to really work hard over these aspects of the examination.

yes my friend,

if you have already applied for the CDS II exam 2012 then you can give the exam,
ther CDSII 2012 is goin to held in the month of sep.
so if you already applied then you can write the exam otherwise you have to wait for the next CDS exam to be conducted


Eligibility criteria

1. Candidate must have completed graduation or engineering from a recognized university .
2. candidates who appearing in final year of graduation or engineering can also apply for the upsc exams.
3. age limit for the upsc exams is 19 to 25 years.
4. age relaxation of 3 years is given to those candidates who belongs to OBC category .
5. age relaxation of 5 years is given to those candidates who belongs to sc category.

candidate who want to apply for OTA or IMA they have to just pass graduation in any stream,
while the candidates applying for indian air force need to have physic and mathematics as subjects in there graduation,

age required for the IMA is 19 to 24 years.
while for OTA it is 19 to 25 years,
else for indian air force the age required is 19 to 22 years.

-Through CDS you are eligible to appear and join

Indian Military Academy - Age limit 19-24yrs.
Officers Training Academy-Age limit 19-25yrs.

-But you dont meet the age limits of

Naval Academy-Age 19-22yrs
Airforce Academy-Age 19-23yrs.

I am a 24 year old engineer.can I give the cds exam this year(2012).If yes give me the details of exam & suggest me how can I crack the exam or best way 2 prepare for the exam.please suggest me soon
