SCRA MEANS special class railway exam . 12th pass candidate who can apply for SCRA EXAM .

Eligibility :-
must be an Indian citizen .
12th pass .
age 17 year .
physically fit .
subject mathematics in 12th .

SCRA Exam is for recruitment of suitable candidates in the Engineering Department of Indian Railways.

This Exam is conducted annually by UPSC.

You can apply for this Exam only if you satisfy the following eligibility criteria for the Exam:

#Special Class Railway Apprentices Exam

Academic Eligibility required: Intermediate or Senior Secondary (12 years) Examination under 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics & Chemistry as subjects of the Examination in 1st or 2nd Division.

Age limit 17-21 years.

So you should apply for this Exam if you satisfy the eligibility criteria as this Exam provides a prestigious Job in Indian Railways.

SCRA stands for special class railways exam ,
a candidate who passed the 12th can apply for SCRA exam,
SCRA provides facility to the candidate to do B.Tech .

but for you dear it is not benificial as you already doing b.tech.

S.C.R.A. exam stands for Special Class Railway Apprentice examination .
This exam is conducted by Union Public Services Commission(U.P.S.C).
If you are interested to get recruited into Mechanical department of Indian Railways then you need to appear in this test.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:-

-- CANDIDATE MUST BE INDIAN CITIZEN.
-- CANDIDATE MUST HAVE PASSED INTERMEDIATE EXAM WITH FIRST/SECOND CLASS FROM RECOGNIZED BOARD.
-- CANDIDATE MUST HAVE STUDIED MATHEMATICS & AT LEAST ONE SUBJECT FORM PHYSICS/CHEMISTRY IN INTERMEDIATE LEVEL.
-- MINIMUM AGE REQUIRED IS 17 YEARS TO APPEAR IN THE EXAM.
-- A CANDIDATE MUST NOT ATTAIN THE AGE OF 21 YEARS.
-- UPPER AGE LIMIT IS RELAXED FOR SC/ST , OBC CANDIDATES.
-- SC/ST- 5 YEARS, OBC- 3 YEARS RELAXED UPPER AGE LIMIT.
-- CANDIDATE MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT.

After qualifying in the examination , Training is given in Indian Railways Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
The training course is conducted by the help of BIT Mesra Lab and workshop training purposes.
When you will complete the training program you will get a high administrative position in Indian Railways.

Hello,
SCRA means Special Class Railway Apprentices' Examination. After passing this apprentices exam you have to take the training and get the reputed job of Railway.

The eligibility criteria for this exam is Age : Not less than 17 years and not more than 21 years as on 1st August of exam year.

Educational Qualification: Must have passes in the first or second division, The intermediate or an equivalent examination (10+2) of a Board.

Special Class Railway Apprentice exams are conducted once in a year to choose the deserving candidates and enroll them as engineers in the railways.
A minimum qualification for these exams is a class 12 pass out or equivalent with a PCM combination.
Also,you must not exceed the age of 21 years in the year of filling the form.The age limit is 18-21 yrs.
Take note that the exams are very tough,especially the maths,physics and chemistry match the standards of IIT level.
There is also a subject called general studies which includes basically every general knowledge.
The successful candidates are given a 4 year engineering course for free of cost and then are placed as Grade A officers in the railways.

There is much scope in SCRA.
It stands for Special Class Railway Apperentis.
you can appear in this exam if you are interested in railways and government job and if you want to be paid while you are studying.
once you clear this exam you job is fixed and you are given an engineering degree after four years.
after four years you are given some post in Indian Railway's office starting from junior executive officer and you are also promoted in years to a very high post like general manager.

ofcourse u can appear for scra exams. bt it is beneficial if u would have appeard after ur 12th or in 1st year of b.tech. as after geting qualified scra u will get a chance to do engneering offer by railway for 4 years and then job in railway. it stands for special class railway apprentice. and through u will get a chance of doing b.tech.
so better do ur b.tech 1st rather than wasting again year and prepare for other railway exams..

scra is special class railway apprentice. We take this test after 10+2 if we want to take admission in B.tech. If you qualify this test then you can get admission in B.Tech that is done indian railways.It is conducted in every alternate year.you can appear but it will be not beneficial for you because you are already pursuing b.tech and are in 3rd year.
