    Dear friend,

yes you can surely take up zoology, chemistry, botany as your optionals if you have interest in those subjects.

you can choose any subject from the list based upon tour interest on the subject.

since you are a bioinformatics student you may take up optional related to biology.

an optional has to be selected based upon your interest, availability of study material, proper guidance, syllabus etc..

first go through the syllabus and then decide the one which will suit you the best.

dont choose an optional just because somebody is saying that it is very scoring

the following are the famous optionals among the aspirant:
    History,geography,political science,public administration,psychology,sociology,philosophy,lit eratures,etc..

so choose as per your comfort.

    all the best

There is no optional subjects related much to bio-informatics. but you can have few related topics in zoology. you can take zoology, botany or chemistry as optionals. But there are certain difficulties, which i can emulate.
    1) lack of proper expert guidance, self-preparation is the only way
    2) very few members within 100 will attempt that optional, so you have to be among the top 20 to get selected
think of them and finally decide.
you can also choose high scoring opyionals such as history, geography, political science , sociology, public adminsitration etc
