IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.

Eligibility criteria for PO :-

1] the candidate must be citizen of India.

2] The age limit of the candidate must be between 21 to 28 years.

3] The candidate must be completed his/ her graduation in any discipline from any recognized university.

4] The candidate who is appearing in final year can apply for this exam.

UPSC doesn't Conduct the exam of bank PO. UPSC conduct the various exam in defense sector, railway, public sector etc. Bank PO exam is conducted by IBPS.

IBPS : Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is a government body which is responsible to conduct the exams for banking departments and IBPS conduct exams for various posts which are following :

1. Clerk or Office Assistant : You must have a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized university and your age should not be less than 20 years and more than 28 years.

2. Probationary Officer : You must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 60% marks and your age should not be less than 20 years and more than 30 years

for writing bank po exams you should write IBPS exam.this exam will be conducted twice in a year.all the banks except state bank accept the score of this exam.

once you have written the exam based upon your performance you will be getting a score card.then you have to apply for various banks with the score card.

then the interview will be conducted for the selection.

UPSC selects candidates for the posts of IAS,IES,IFSetc and conducts exams like CDS,SCRA,NDA etc.

There are 19 public sector banks are joined with IBPS , IBPS conduct the exam on behalf of these banks for the post of PO .
The criteria for the PO exam is below :
-> one should done their graduation from any recognized university with minimum 60% marks for general cast , 55% for obc cast.
-> one age should be below :
21-30 for general cast
21-33 for obc cast
21-35 for sc/st cast
21-40 for physically handicapped .

The exam consist one paper .
Paper consists of five sections each of carry 50 objective type questions namely
aptitude ,
logical reasoning ,
english ,
general awareness and
computer / marketing knowledge.


One should get minimum require marks in each section for passing the exam


After written test the selected candidates will be called for an interview .


The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the written exam plus in the interview together .

So if you are eligible then start the preparation for the exam and give it .

here is the criteria for ibps bank po exam:

The candidate should be pass in graduation from a recognized university

Age limit: For General 20-30 and relaxation given to sc/at 5 years

And relaxation given to obc candidates for 3 years
