there is no comparison of which background you are from. what matters is how you prepare, how best you are in handling a situation, your practical thinking, your ability to analyse all things,problem solving skills etc. you have to develop a lot of confidence and work hard.
There are a lot of successful examples such as Iraiyanbu sir, who is an IAS officer from tamilnadu. If possible listen to one of his motivational talks.
First shed your inferiority complex that you are from rural area. Be bolder, confident and prepare a time schedule and work accordingly. analyse yourself where you are weak and improve.
