Punjab govt. has started its own coaching centre for IAS aspirants. THe centre has been started to save people from excessive fees charged by private Institutes. The coaching will be free for SC/ST and OBC students.THere is a total of 40 seats and there is reservation for each category of students (SC/ST/minority etc. ) The selected candidates will be given free food, accommodation and coaching , financial assistance etc based on govt. rules. The candidates are selected based on a personal interview. You can look out for this notification in leading newspapers in Punjab.

Private coaching fees:
It ranges from 15000 to 20000 for paper 1 and 10000 to 15000 for paper 2. IT is an average only. It may be either higher or lower based on the reputation of the institute.

Minimum requirements:
1)Age 21- 30 years( for general candidates) OBC 21-33 Sc/ST 21-35
2) A bachelor's degree from recognised university

Hi Aspirant,

UPSC conducts the cse exam for the post of IPS, IAS and IRS.

You can apply for civil exam after completion of your graduation.

First of all you should clear intermediate with good marks.

After that take admission in graduation in any stream.

Along with graduation you can take the coaching of civil exam.

You can do the preparation for both in parallel.

Your age should be 21 to 30 year for civil exam.


Coaching fee is not fix, it can vary. Generally you will have spend 15 to 30 thousands for coaching.

hello i am ritik juneja study in 1 i pass 10th by 85% marks now in non medical i want to be an ips officer but i have no guideance about it so plz tell me the way to be an ips in punjab and its study cost name of colleges and when i join an ips school after 2 or bsc or any other degree and also tell me its requirments.
