upsc exam is one of the toughest exam in the world ,it not only gives enormous opportunity and power to an officer but responsibilty also ,it includes clearing through three screening phases,these exams are getting advance and tougher every year because of continuos evolution and changes in pattern that one can not predict with certainity the type of questions been asked in exam!the best way to handle these exam is train your mind to keep its cool anyway in exam hall!

interesting question . yes of course UPSC exams are different from other exams . UPSC CHECK A STUDENT OVER ALL FROM HIS MENTAL ABILITY AND OTHER MANY THING .IN OTHER EXAMS THIS ARE MISSING . UPSC exams give you best job than other exam .

upsc provides jobs for every graduated persons no matter how much they scored but in competitive examinations marks matters due to which many students who wish to give exam fails to do so but upsc is the only platform from where even a just passed student can make future in best way...
you can any time go to upsc site and can know anything about upsc and also can apply online as well..

dear friend upsc is the central overnment agency which is responsible to conduct the exam for all the A grade government job throughout the country it gives the opportunity to each and every one to sit for the exam with a very less amount of fees which each one can afford unlike other competitive exams whose forms are of minimum 1000 rupees and the other factor is that to apply for other exams you have to complete the costly courses whereas to apply for upsc you have to be only graduate ,one more benefit is that you can also apply in the final year of graduation .The last is that UPSc exams gives you such a post which can not be achieved by any other competitive exam . ok dear

HI dear,UPSC offer the the most special job in that country so they just want the cream of the society. And they conduct exam in a different process. It very much hard to click on in UPSC. All the best.

Actually,the status,respect associated with the civil services exam is unparallel as compared to any other services.Personally,my dream from childhood is to become an IAS officer and I will try throughout my lifetime as much possible to crack it.People like me are eager to go for civil services because this job is of highly esteemed job and once you have this,you have the world in your hands.Well,now that's why,it is very difficult to crack because you have to study almost anything and everything for this and have to give mcq as well as descriptive type exams.So,not a cup of cake at all!Hope that answers your questions

hey....
the exams conducted by upsc are more complicated than other exams because they want almost perfect person in every aspect
so we can say there syllabus is wast.
and they don't ask only about your core subjects they check you overall.

UPSC exam is Union Public Service Commission exam, which gives opportunity for government sector jobs like civil services..that is how it is different from other competitive exams..

no doubt as discussed above upsc is toughest exam of the country and it is the dream of every Indian to be a part of it. difference in syllabus of upsc and other entrance exams makes it the toughest 1 to crack. Other entrance exams usually have subject oriented questions but to crack upsc you should be sound in not only current affairs but also abt history, geography, english vocab and general studies.

friend yor qustn was quiet intrstng UPSC exams are made to serve our nation and to build our nation so its diffclt bcoz its rltd to our nation and we cant give our nation responsiblity to any week hands na so and the exams which you are taking abt is related to ur educayion na not abt the whole world.

This gives an opportunity to serve in the government in the management cadre and hence people are eager.

It is difficult as there will be negative marking for any wrong answer.

It is designed to maintain certain standard in the academic field.

How UPSC exams are different from other competitive exams?

There are every year CAT,GMAT,medical and engineering exams.Why people are so eager for IAS and think it very difficult from other exam? Why it is so?
