UPSC does not conduct any exam for the post of district Education officer. For this post you have to pass DEO exam, conducted by respective state public service commission such as MPSC, GPSC etc
Criterai, Eligibility, Educational Qualification etc vary from one commission to another. But the general scheme is a written exam followed by a personal Interview. Written test will be of PG degree standard. THe notification for the exam will be published in employment news weekly or you can refer the website of the corresponding state public service commission
