    The best book for preparing IES for mechanichal is of made easy publication named IES-2011 UPSC ENGG SERVICES EXAM.
    It contains solved paper , old question paper and practce exercice, it also suitalble for both paper of IES..

    If you want to go for the study material first of all you should go for NCERT books for basic knowledge. IGNOU study material is also good.
