After clearing the test except a red light car you will many other things too, while you were in the job or after the retirenment .

You become liable for availing the so many other facilities given by the government.

You have a cute curiosity. Not exactly but usually they get cars with red lights.


But why are you curious about red lights. There are much more to get other than red light car. Let me know you the facilities & perks of an IAS officer.


1.Free electricity and telephone bills.


2.During official travels for duty they get the accommodation in very good Government Bungalows and Rest houses.

3.One can apply for a study leave for 2 to 4 years in a reputed foreign university, the cost of which will be paid by the government.


4.The IAS may hope to get double salary after each 7 to 9 years.


5.After completing a minimum 17 to 20 years of service the officer gets the Super Time Scale salary. He becomes Principal Secretary of a very important department of the government.


6.own Security guards, Gardeners, Servants and Cooks.



Power and prestige is the greatest perks for an IAS. One can work for the good of the people and this is the greatest perk among all.
