    Hi Aspirant

    IES Stands for the Indian Engineering Services

    And upsc is conducting the exam every year for the post

    And like Ias this One is also one of the reputed post of the country

    And also a dream job and as far

    The criteria for the Ies exam:

    Educational qualification:

    -The candidate should be pass in b.tech degree from a recognized university

    -And the age should be between 21-30

    -Relaxation given to the obc of 3 and for the sc.st of 5 years

    -The candidate must be citizen of india

    -The number of attempts allow for the exam

    -For the general it is 4

    -For the obc category it is 7

    -For the sc.st category it is unlimited

    And as from the preparation you need to be fully focus towards your goal

    And do regular practice and practice

    concentrate mainly on your core subjects.
    you must refer standard books for your main subjects.
    also refer MADE EASY CIVIL BOOKS.
    practice many old question papers.
    all topics are very very important. dont avoid even a single topic.

    I.E.S i.e Indian Engineering Service Examination was conducted by the Union Public Service Examination every year.

    The examination is only for the engineering candidates.

    To apply for the examination,you have to finished the degree in engineering from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
    But the some stream candidates only eligible to apply for the examination.

    The streams are :-

    Civil Engineering

    Mechanical Engineering

    Electrical Engineering

    Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

    Or M.Sc candidates can also apply for the examination.But some stream candidates only eligible to apply for the examination.

    Your age should be 21 years to 30 years as on 1st august of the year of the examination and relaxation is given to the SC/ST/PD and OBC category.

    Those who are appearing or completed candidates can also apply for the examination.

    Selection Procedure of the examination :- Written Examination and Interview.

    Pattern of examination:-

    hey friend
    for this you have to select your subject which you want from www.upsc.gov.in
    you have to make your basics clear.
    it is not possible to qualifing by concentrating only on 1 subject
    you have to take care of all subjects.

    Hello,
    You have to start preparation now. There are four category for IES examination. Category I�Civil Engineering, Category II�Mechanical Engineering, Category III�Electrical Engineering, Category IV�Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

    If you are in civil Branch then you have fill the form for category-1, you should focus on Question Pattern for the exam.

    You should download and print previous years question papers from www.upsc.gov.in and you should practice more and more Model Test Papers.

    You should start from your basic subjects .You should prefer following books 1 Elements of civil engineering for IES 2 Material engineering for IES 3 Structural engineering for IES4 DESIGN ENGINEERING FOR IESBEST OF LUCK.
