SCRA exam is conducted by UPSC for the recruitment of deserve candidates in Railways.

Eligibility Criteria For SCRA:

1. 12th with math and Physics

2. your age must be within 17 years to 21 years.


UPSC already have released the notification for SCRA 2013 exam on 13-10-2012. you can check it on UPSC official website at following link:

Schedule of SCRA exam in 2013:

date of Notification: 13-10-2012

last date for receipt of application: 12-11-2012

date of commencement of exam: 20-01-2013

duration of exam: 1 day.

1.Date of notification:13/10/2013

2.Last date of receipt of application:12/11/2013

3.Date of examination: 20/01/2013.


Eligibility criteria:

>>You must have passed your 10+2 from a recognised board with minimum 60% marks .

>>You subjects combination must include physics,chemistry and mathematics.

>>you need to be between 17-21 years.

the upsc SRCA examination is conducted by upsc every year.
this is a 12th based examination.

the aspirant completed their 12th from a recognized board with
PHYSICS CHEMISTRY MATHEMATICS as subjects are considered eligible for this examination.

the age limit to apply for this examination is 17-21 years
the SCRA examination of the year 2013 will be conducted by upsc on 20th JAN 2013.
the notification for this examination will released by upsc on 13th OCT 2012.
at the official upsc website www.upsc.gov.in
and the last date to apply for this examination is 12th NOV 2012.
during the notification period you can apply for this examination.
both postal and online application are applicable .
for the postal application you have to purchase the upsc form available at the head post office that time.
while for the online application you have log on to www.upsconline.nic.in

both male and females are eligible to apply for this examination.
and there is no age relaxation for the obc or the sc/st category aspirants.

The notification for SCRA exam will be released in the month of OCTOBER and forms would be available from NOVEMBER.


The eligibility condition is as follows:
1.you must be an intermediate pass with sience stream
2.you must have attained the age of 17 years and not exceeded the age of 21 years on 1st august of the year of examination
3.Must have passed in the first or second division
4.A candidate must be either:�


(a) A citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or from Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Generally the exam notification for SCRA exams are advertised in or after the month of Feb.

The SCRA exams are held mostly in the month of July.Exam Notification for SCRA 2013 for will

be advertised in the Employment News and its websites www.upsc.gov.in and www.upsconline.nic.in

Last SCRA exams was held on 29.01.2012 and the notification was advertised in 22.10.2011.

Results for the Written SCRA 2012 have been declared.

So WAIT for the exam notification of SCRA 2013 to be advertised to know the exact Exam Date.

Till then keep preparing for the exam.

Till date there is no notification for the SCRA exam-2103. It may be published by the upsc in the month of the October-2012.

After the notification we check the dates of the exam.

For the SCRA exam the candidate must have complete or the appear in the secondary class from the approved or recognized board.

The age limit for the candidate is 17 to 21 years.

Candidate must have the science subject in the +2.

Total marks of the exam are 600. There are three section in the exam:-

General ability-200 marks

Mathematics-200 marks

Science (Physics, chemistry)-200 marks.

date of notification for Special class Railway apprentice exam: 13/10/2012

Special class railway apprentice exam will be conducted on : 20/01/2013
These are tentative dates only. They may be changed by UPSc any time. So refer upsc.gov.in website
candidates have to apply online only.
Exam fee :100 Rs (women/ SC/ST/ PH candidates exempted from paying exam fee)
Eligibility:
1) Age limit:
-must have attained 17 years and must not have attained 21 years as on 1st jan of 2013
- for SC/ST, OBC appropriate age relaxations applicable
2) Must have passed higher secondary, with maths and physics/chemistry

If you want to give the SCRA exam 2013 then you can give the exam after 12th class.

UPSC conducts the exam for jobs in railway services.

There is no new notification about the SCRA exam 2013.

The notification about the exam is published at the end of the year 2012 in december month.

So you can check the information from the official website of UPSC http://www.upsc.gov.in
