For becoming an IPS officer you need to have crack the Exam conducted for it and that can be done if you apply for it and also fulfill the criteria for it and it is:

*You have passed your graduation from recognized university.

*Age limit 21-30 yrs..

Then you can apply for it at www.upsconlin.nic.in

IPS is Indian Police Services. yo can get IPS post after clearing Civil Services Exam.

Eligibility Criteria:

for UPSC CS exams you must complete or appearing in final year of graduation in any field with any percentage from recognized college or university.

your age must be within 21 years to 30 years.

And there is relaxation in UPPER AGE limit for reserved category candidates(3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates).

IPS Stands for the Indian Police Service

And upsc is conducting the exam for the IPS Post

And upsc is conducting the civil services exam for the post

And for the exam here is the qualifications required:

Education Qualification:

-The candidate should be pass in graduation from a recognized indian university

-Final year student also eligible for the exam

Age limit:

-The age required for the exam is 21-30

-And the relaxation will be given to the obc is 3 years

-And relaxation will be given to the sc.st is 5 years

These are qualification required for the exam

eligibility criteria for the IPS is..
candidate must be an indian,
candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized university.
candidate who are final year appearing students can also apply for the exam.
candidate must have attained the age of 21 years.
no percentage is required for the exam you just need to have atleast passing percentage in the graduation.

hello friend,the eligiblity for IPs exam is very simple,
It is same as all other exams and it follows as:
a) candidate must be citizen of india.
b)Age limit: The AGE LIMIT of IPS examination is 21 to 30 years .
c)Educational Qualification: You must have a Graduation Degree.
if you are referring some books like general knowledge books and abt the history its more enough but instead of that if you go to coaching its good because ther you will get a clear idea abt the pattern of the examination.thank you and all athe best.

An eligibility criterion is the same for all the students even from different streams. U just need to be a graduate. Age limit is 21 to 30 in general category, 21 to 33 in obc, and 21 to 35 in sc/st.

The eligibility criteria for IPS examination is as follows:

1. Nationality: Candidate must have citizen of India.

2. Age limit: The AGE LIMIT of IPS examination is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. if you appear in 2012 IES exam then you must have been born not earlier than 02 August 1982 and not later than 1 August of 1991.

3. Educational Qualification: You must have a Graduation Degree of a recognized university at any stream.

You should go for the coaching center but first of all you have to familiar with the Question Pattern of IPS exam at www.upsc.gov.in

for joining ips you should have been
1. A graduate from any srtream from a recognised university.
2.You must be at least 21 years of age at the time of filling the Civil Services (Preliminary) Exam form and not more than 30 years of age.
3.U can appear for this exam in ur final year too.
5. 50% marks will be enough for this exam.
