Nope the interview place is common for all the finalist and the location is based on UPSC Board.

Perhaps it will be in Delhi for all.

dear friend,

you can give the Interview in Kannada medium only following cases:

1. if you have opted Kannada medium for the written part of Civil Services mains exam. Then you can give interview in Kannada, English or Hindi

2. If you give the Mains exam in English and you have given paper of one Compulsory Indian Language as Kannada Language. Then you can give Interview in Hindi, English or Kannada Language.
if you are Exempted from Kannada language then you can only give the exam in Hindi or English.

Dear Friend,

If you have selected Kannada Language for your Language paper than you can opt for giving your Interview in Kannada Language.
UPSC does allows candidate to choose his/her medium of language for Interview process as per his preference in the application form.
But let me tell you that giving Interview in Kannada reduces your overall chance to get post in the northern region of India.
Because Kannada is language of South Region so you most probably be posted on the basis of your medium of language you are comfortable in.
Other parts of India atleast needs English Language to get posted there.

In my opinion , you will definitely be allowed to give the UPSC Interview in Kannada as the pass outs students have the choice that you can opt any one language from all the Indian languages as well as the English Language.

So , there will be no problem if you go for interview in Kannada language.

The interview process in te UPSC exams are given in the ENGLISH & HINDI languages.

If you want to give the Interview in KANNAD language then it will be very difficult for you.

You must have to prepare for the Interview in English & Hindi Only.

Because the UPSC exams are helds in all over the country that is why the Interview will be in English & Hindi Language.

Kannada language !!! i dont think so ... you can not take ...

Its better you take that in English only ....

yes of course you can give interview in kannada language. UPSc allows the candidates to take interview in any one of the Indian languages or English language as a medium, much like the option given for writing mains examination. You can write mains Exam in English, but still you can choose the medium for attending interview. THe interview board will provide an interpreter/translator to you depending on the medium you have chosen.
In civil services exam 2009, out of 2431 candidates who appeared for interview, 803 candidates have attended interview in one of the Indian languages, while the rest chose ENglish medium.
Out of these 803 candidates, 2 candidates have opted for kannada medium in the interview.

The candidates, opting for Indian Language medium for the written part of the Civil Services (Main) Examination, may choose either the same Indian Language or English or Hindi as the medium for the interview.

The candidates, opting to write the Civil Services (Main) Examination in English, may choose as the medium for interview either English or Hindi or any other Indian Language opted by them for the compulsory Indian Language Paper in the written part of the Civil Services (Main) Examination.
