Electronics 3. civil 4. Mechanical ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR UPSC EXAM-: 1.You must be citizen of India. 2. You must be graduate by engineering from recognized university. 3. You age must be between 21 to 30 years. 4.You must be a mentally fit candidate. 5. No. of attempt-: * GEN-: 4 * OBC-: 7 * SC/ST-: No. limit. AGE RELAXATION-: 1. Five year for SC/ST 2. Three year for OBC 3. Five year for government servant GOOD LUCK

Dear friend From my point of view I think that you are talking about Indian engineering services instead of Indian economic services as you are a electronic students related with engineering field Yes,dear you are eligible for the IES exam (engineering services exam) conducted by UPSC every year. The essential qualification regarding this examination as below: 1.Academic qualifications: >>Bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognised university. >>You have to select the subjects from the given trade only: 1.Civil engineering 2.Mechanical engineering 3.Electronics engineering 5.Electrical engineering. 2.Age limitations: General: 21-30 years OBC: 21-33 years SC/ST: 21-35 years 3.No of attempts allowed: General:4 OBC:7 SC/ST: no limit till age limitations. 4.Paper pattern: Hope the information in accordance to your query. all the best aashisranjan784

Indian Economic Service(IES) Or Engineering Service Exam You are not eligible for IES exams according to your educational qualification. But ofcourse you can apply to Engineering Services exams conducted by UPSC every year. Acc.to UPSC calender exam notification will be advertised on 16.03.2013 and exams will be held on 28.06.2013. Eligibility for Engineering Services exams : Categories to which recruitments are made through Engineering Services exams are Civil,Mechanical,Electrical and Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering. Age Limit : General category-21-30yrs OBC-21-33yrs SC/ST-21-35yrs Educational Qualification : A degree in Engineering from a recognised University or Equivalent. M.Sc. Degree or its equivalent from a recognised University with Wireless communications,Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Enginering as special subjects also acceptable for certain posts. If not who all are eligible? candidates who have completed Bachelor of Engineering degree or who is currently in the final year of B.E degree are eligible to apply for engineering services examination. You may have done Engineering in any of the streams (like ECE, CSE,IT, AUtomobile,civil, production etc), in which stream you did Engineering does not matter. All that matters is you have a B.E degree. But the exam is conducted in 4 streams only 1) Electronics 2) Electrical 3) Mechanical 4) Civil Since you are an Engineeering student you are eligible to apply for the exam and you can choose Electronics stream for writing the exam. Scheme of exam type subject max marks paper 1 objective General ability (General English and General studies) 200 paper 2&3 objective civil/mechanical/electrical/electronics 200 for each paper paper 4&5 conventional/essay civil/mechanical/electrical/electronics 200 marks for each paper
