Ies means indian engineering services,this is only for the candidates who completed b tech in eee,ece,civil,mechanical courses are only eligible for ies exam

eligibility criteria of ies exam;-

the person must be indian citizen

IES EXAM STANDS FOR INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE EXAM WHICH IS CONDUCTED BY UPSC ONCE IN A YEAR.

TO JOIN IES EXAM;-
1-you must be passed b.tech from following branch;-
civil
electrical
mechanical
electronics and communication

2-age limit is 21-30 years
3-you must be Indian citizen

Dear Friend,

The Engineering Services Examination is Conducted every year by the Union public Service Commission.

* The UPSC Has set some eligibility criteria for this examination , so candidates who fulfill these eligibility criteria only are allowed to appear in this examination.

The Eligibility Criteria for IES Exam are :

* You should have completed your B.Tech/B.E. in any one of the following streams :

a) Electronics & Electrical Engineering

b) Electronics & Communication Engineering

c) Mechanical Engineering

d) Civil Engineering

* Your age should remain in between 21-30 years if from General Category.

* 3 Years of age relaxation is alloted to students of OBC Category.

* 5 Years of age relaxation is alloted to students of SC/ST Category.

* You must have Indian Nationality.

Indian Engineering Service

IES stands for Indian Engineering service Exam this exam is conducted by Union public service commission and this examination is conducted by every year.If you interest to apply this examination you should be have this eligibility Criteria..

Required Eligibility Criteria:-

>>Educational Qualification:- The Candidate graduation in following stream from recognized university.

• Electronics and communication
• Electrical
• Civil Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

The final year candidate also eligible for this examination. and there is no minimum percentage of mark for this examination so just pass mark is enough.

>>Nationality:- The candidate should be citizen of India or a subject of Bhutan or Nepal

>>Age Limits:- The General Candidate age limit should between 21 to 30 years, and the OBC Candidate age limit should between 21 to 33 years, and for the SC/ST candidate age limit should between 21 to 35 years

>>Physical standards:- The Candidate should be Medically fit for this examination.

Eligibility for Engineering Services Exam:

Age Eligibility:(on the 1st January, 2012)
You need to be between 21 years to 30 years. DOB should not be earlier than 2nd January, 1982 and not later than 1st January, 1991. Age relaxations exist as per Govt. rules.

Academic Eligibility:
You must be a graduate in Engineering from a recognized university in Electronics/Civil/Mechanical/Electrical.
Even Final year students can also appear in IES exam, provided he/she can provide the proof of passing the exam when IES exam (Written) result comes out, which is around December of every year.

Important dates:

Date of notification & Online submission of form starts : March Last date for submission of IES 2012 Online form : April
Date of IES 2012 exam : June(3 days)

Eligibility for IES exam

Candidates graduate with following stream from any discipline university or its equivalent are eligible

Electrical

Electronics and Communication

Civil engineering

Mechanical Engineering


You can also apply if you are appearing in final year.

Your age should be 21 to 30 years.

Age relaxation

SC/ST + 5 years

OBC + 3 years

PH + 10 years

You must be Indian.
