Simply speaking, it is an engineering degree course recognized by all State Governments, Central Govt., UPSC etc as equivalent to B.E/B.Tech. That means, those who successfully complete AMIE will get equal opportunities for job as well as higher education, just like a B.E or B.Tech holder. Therefore AMIE qualification is sufficient to apply for any UPSC exam. You can apply for CSE, IFS or CDS exam . These exams is conducted by UPSC at national level. Qualification for UPSC exam You must be graduated in any stream or its equivalent( AMIE) You must be in age of 21 to 30 years for CSE and 19 to 25 years for CDS exam Age relaxation as per government norms You must be Indian.
