Friend it is good that you are very serious about civil service exam from now.

You can start the preparation of civil service exam from now and it will be good.

You should give some time for the preparation of civil service exam. But you can not apply for civil service exam now. You can apply for civil exam in final year of BE.

For the preparation of civil exam you should join any good coaching institute.

In coaching you will get a competitive environment and proper direction and guidance.

Civil service exam is quite tough and not easy to crack. So you will have to be fully dedicated to crack civil exam.

Study with reference books like NCERT and other books.

Read newspaper for General studies paper and study competitive magazine for current affairs.

You should also practice of previous year question paper.

For the selection of optional subject you should be very careful.

You should choose only that subject about which you are very confident you have good knowledge in them.

sir right now i m in 3rd sem BE.elec
and i want to start d prep for upsc from now onwards.

i dont have any knowledge about exams.
pls give me some of the useful online study sites as i dont want to purchase books,due to conditions..

and i m from ahmedabad gujarat.,and had studied in english medium school for all 12 years.,so can u pls suggest me d papers which i can select in csat.
