    dear friend

There is a big difference between UPSC prelims and upsc mains examinations.

UPSC is the union public services commission which conducts the Civil services examinations for the prestigious post like IAS,IPS and IPS etc.

The Civil services examination is conducted in three stages :

    >>Preliminary test

    >>Mains examination

    >>personal interview

So,dear ,aspirants who qualify for prelims and are eligible to appear for the UPSC mains examination.

The eligibility criteria for the Civil services examinations:

    >>Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised univeristy.

    >>Final year students are eligible for the examinations.

    >>only passing % of marks is required.

    >>However better % of marks will improve your impression in personal interview.

    Age limitations:

    >>General:21-30 years

    >>OBC: 21-33 years

    >>sc/st: 21-35 years.

    Hope the information helps you.

    all the best
