As you are from OBC category,you can appear for UPSC Civil services till the age of 33years.The number of attempts you are entitled to get is 7.Your minimum qualification should be graduation from any stream.So you are eligible clearly for Civil services or Forest services.

Because your age is still 25.. 26 years


And as YOU ARE A OBC candidate you will be given AGE RELAXATION OF 3 YEARS

And so the minimum age limit is 21 years

And you can apply for until you get 33 years


You must have studied a minimum of Graduation

For OBC category,

* The age limit is : 21-33 yrs

* Number of attempts are: 7

* It consists of three rounds,,1.Prelims,,,those clear in it are eligible for Mains which is 2nd round and then finally who clear both these written test rounds are going for the Interview.

hello, the exact age limit in UPSC civil services exam:- FOR GENERAL := 21 TO 30 YEARS FOR OB C := 21 TO 33 YEARS FOR SC/ST := 21 TO 35 YEARS. IN CIVIL services for sc/st students 5 years relaxation. for ob c 3 years relaxation. you should have to be graduation passed with the 60% from the recognized university. you must be an INDIAN. For Civil Services the age limit is 21-30 years. More details is given below:

Age Limit:

For General candidate : 21-30 years
For OBC Candidate : 21-33 years
For SC/ST candidate : 21-35 years


Educational Qualification: Candidate must be Graduate from any recognized university.

Numbers of Attempts:

For General Candidate 4 Attempts
For OBC Candidate 7 Attempts
For SC/ST Candidate No Limits

ExaminationSchedule:


It consists of two stage :
1. Preliminary Examination
2.Main Examination

Preliminary Examination: It will consists of Two papers of objective type and carry a maximum 400 marks.

Main Examination: Main exam consists of Written test andinterview.

The main examination comprises of Nine papers.

Paper-I : One of the Indian Language to be selected by the candidate from 22 languages. : Marks 300

Paper-2 : English : Marks 300

Paper-3 : Essay : Marks 200

Paper-4 & 5 :General Study (300 Marks Each) : Marks 600

Paper- 5,6,7,8,9 : Any Two subject to beselected : Marks 1200
(Each having Two Papers &300 marks for each paper)

Interview (in the medium you choose) total marks300

I am 25 years 3 months old. I am planning to write UPSC exam. I have completed BE(CSE) in 2010. Now I am working.. I am bit confusion with OBC category latest age limit for writing Exam and No. of attempts .. What is relaxation period mean??
