The Geologist Exam is carried out by the UPSC for selecting efficient candidates to various posts. Some of the posts are Hydro geologist, Geologist, assistant Geologist and Assistant Hydro geologist in India.

Structure of the Geologist Exam

The Geologist entrance exam will include two different stages.
The first stage is a written exam and
second stage is the interview.
The questions are from English, Geology Paper I, II, III and Hydro-geology.

Eligibility 1. Master�s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology; or 2. Master�s degree in Mineral Exploration (for posts in Geological Survey of India only), or
3. Master�s degree in Hydrogeology (for posts in central ground water board only) from a recognized university; 4. Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. Age: A candidate age should be below 32 years as on mentioned date in Advt.

Hello,
The last application form fill up date for Geologist exam is 24/09/2012 (Monday) . Geologist exam is conducted to recruit two categories. Category-1 is the posts in the Geological survey of India

Category-II is for positions in the Central Ground Water Board and Ministry of Water Resources.


Qualification Criteria for UPSC Geologist Exam
The candidates who have Master�s degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognized University

I have heard about Geologist exam conducted by uspc but i don't have enough information .So please inform me about the eligibility criteria and job which i can get after clearing this exam.
