UPSC organizes the Combined Medical Service exam every year for the recruitment in Medical officer posts.



Required Qualification for CMSE

You must have MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS degree from recognized university

Your age should be 21 to 30 years

Age relaxation as per government norms

SC/ST + 5 years

OBC + 3 years

PH + 10 years

You must be Indian.


NCERT books are considered as good books for UPSC exam.

You should also study from reference books.

NCERT is the best study material for the basic knowledge of UPSC Medical Exam. It covers UPSC full syllabus.

Ncert books are enough to crack combined medical entrance exam..yes ncert book of biology is sufficient for the exam..if the ncert books are read carefully and undestood clearly then its easy to clear the exam..

NCERT book is sufficient if you want to score just an average,as far as the top ranking is considered you need to have a reference book.but, at the same time you need to work smartly,read the NCERT first,each word is important,now read the details of the terms in the reference book.according to me s.chand's book should do the job.all the best for exam,prepare smartly.
