Hello Dear,

I think the counting the number of hour in study is doesn't matter, If any thing is matter that i show much course you complete in a day , this is more important.

Concentration is another thing which is also matter in your preparation if your concentration is good then you can prepare your course in a short span of time but if it is weak then you can take long time to complete your syllabus
Some tips which is helpful for you to cracking the exam is

Manage your time table according to your syllabus.
Discuss the problem related to the syllabubs in your friend circle
Solve the test paper of previous year
never think negative thinking in your mind

You can study 6-8 hours a day with full concentration..

Dear if you are preparing for your IES - Indian Engineering Services Exam which is conducted by UPSC board then it is good for your career and if you will prepare hard for your exam then you may easily crack this exam because it is not so tough for engineering students and they may easily crack this exam if they care about the time and manage the time for this exam and if you are serious to crack this exam then you should join any coaching institute to prepare for IES exam and to get the service under the engineering services and coaching institute would provide you at least 6 hours every day to prepare but if you are really interested then you also would have to work hard and prepare at least 8 hours every day from your time means 6 hours of coaching institute and 8 hours of your personal study so that your time would be about 13-14 hours everyday for your IES preparation and if you keep your above mentioned timing continue till your examination then no one can stop you to come under Indian Engineering Services.

i think it depend upon you how much learning capacity you have....if you can learn so much in less time then 4 or 5 hours sufficient in a day ......all the best...

I suggest read the subject by keeping in mm that you are reading for sake of knowledge Rather than only for getting qualified in the exam..
so i am suggesting to read only 6 hrs.out of 24 hours..and go for revise it repeatedly what you have read...

• Hours of study does not matter here, what matters is how you study.
• If you don't concentrate on your studies even if you sit complete 24 hours, you can't able to crack the exam.
• Your's quality of the study must be very good.
• Even if you study only 3-4 hours,but you need to understand the concept of the topic.
• Prepare a time table according to your conviniance and you must follow the same.
• Practice and revision is more important. You can take the previous years question papers for help.

just concerntrate and study for short terms..practice hard...carry pocket notes ..keep on revising the subject and spend time in concepts and not on useless theory..!!!!

to crack such an important exam you have to make use of very hour every second that you can which will ultimately lead you to success in a particular upsc exam. so give every second of your day that you can if you really want to crack such exam.give sufficient time to every subject according to it requirement . follow a time table . be focused and prepare well for the exam as attempts for the exam are limited. even if do not succeed in your first attempt keep you preparation on for the next attempt and you will see the difference . if you keep yourself determined about your preparation surely you will reach you aim one day.

For Cracking UPSC IES exam you need quality study. It does not depends on how much hours you spend on study.

If you insist i would recommend you to study 10 to 12 hours per day. Study quality material for IES Exam.

For preparation mange your time table according to your convenience and follow the Syllabus for IES exam. You also need to solve previous year question papers for UPSC IES exam.

IES is a really tough exam. UPSC conducts this exam every year.
Through this exam highly talented engineers are recruited to fill the top most engineering posts in the public sector companies.
One need to work really hard in order to succeed in this exam.
u need to do the previous year question papers and to study sincerly and concentration if u want to clear IES

friend it depends on ones capability..

we all know exam appears to be tough but its not..if do wth full dedication and enthusiasm then we can come out of it...

you know your ability,how much time it would take for you to cope with it..maintain a proper planning an follow it

as a student then you need to speed at least 6-10 hours..

practice previous questions papers as much as you can

should have current affairs,should be good in general knowledge..,good enough in solving problems

being IES student i can justify this question well..about study hours its upto you if your concept are clear and the requiremnt of the IES exam thn you wiull do it
go through previous years question papers,remind them ,keep a eye on news remind all the things you learnt in your school days.atleast read 5 to 6 hours(with full concertration and determination)

Dear sir,The 16hours reader boy can't get in but the 3hours can do so.The preparation for IES is not about to just counting hours studies if it would so than every body can get easily in after 16 hours study! If your input is 100% than your output should be 100%, whatever you study only just few hours, it doesn't matter.

hello....its a competitive exam so u must have to work hard. you should study about 7-8 hours a day.Revision is most important. so revise small tables and small informations regularly. and also solve previous years papers that helps to understand paper style. increase your confidence and work hard. all the best.

friend how many hours you sit in study is not important. you have to concentrate fully on 6 hrs is enough to score good mark in IES exam.try to solve the previous question papers and make use of the books. all the best for your exam....

Hours doesnt matter..its quality and right pattern of study what matters the most..you should practice the previous years question papers daily..try to solve it by own..if not possible then take a coaching class or personal tutor who would solve the problems..

Hi, study hours depends upon your concentration power.If you are fully addicted to your aim then 5-7 hours are enough, but if not that then you have to devoted 9-12 hours daily.

So its best advisable for you to study for 8-10 hours.It will be more than enough.
Practice the model papers hard.Solve the maximum of them.Remove your weaknesses.
