yes you can apply for IFS exam after complete your B.TECH/ APPEARING last year also can apply.

ITS conducted by UPSC held in every year.


QUALIFICATION:-


you should have to complete your graduation from the recognized university.


AGE CRITERIA:-

for general candidates = 21 to 30 years.

for obc = 3 years relaxation.

for sc/st = 5 years relaxation.

Indian Forest Services Examination which is conducted by UPSC has following academic eligibility criteria:

A Bachelor's degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.

So as you have a bachelors degree in Engineering you might be eligible for this Exam, as the eligibility criteria do not ask for engineering degree in some specific stream.Also the age eligibility criteria for the exam is 21-30 years, where upper age limit is relaxed for obc for 3 years and for sc/st it is 5 years.
