you are eligible for UPSC civil services exam. it is doesn't matter of your marks performance. only you are graduated you are eligible.

eligibility criteria is

Must be graduate from a recognized university (% does't matter)

age should be in between 21 to 30

age relaxation for OBC candidate 3 years

age relaxation for SC/ st candidate 5 years

Number of attempts

General- 4 attempts

OBC - 7 attempts

sc/st - no limits

Yes friend, you can give IPS exam,as it doesn't depend on 10th & 12th class %. It also don't depend on how you completed your X & XII. Your age must bebetween 21-30 years to give this exam.

For IPS candidate should be graduate from any recognized university.

Age should be between 21-30 years
Relaxation for OBC 3 years and SC/ST 5 years.

You are eligible for IPS Exam.

There is no issue that what is your percentage. Pass marks candidate can also apply.

So you can apply this exam.

Dear Aspirant,
To appear for IPS exam, you need to satisfy the following criteria:
1. complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university.
2.Age should be less than 30.( 35 for OBC/SC/ST).
3.you can also appear if you are in the final year of graduation provided you should pass graduation before appearing for interview.
4. Clear the exam within 4 attempts.

Since you are doing b.tech, you are eligible.Your percentage does not matter. What matters is your score in upsc exam.

Obviously you can appear for the upsc exam. It doesn't matter how you complete your graduations and 1oth and 10+2 marks also doesn't matter for the post of an ips.

sir/madam am persuing btech ECE final yr wil be completed in may 2013 nd i have backlogs in last semesters not yet cleared hope i wil cleared all those backlogs within my course duration (2009-2013) if any thing goes wrng it wil not be completed if i complete my btech by clearing all subjects in my course duration itself thn i think no problem to apply for CIVILS. If not i take one more year extra tat is 2009-2014 to clear all subjects nd to complete my engineering in if this happen in my graduation certificate there is 2009-2014 clearly indicates tat i take extra year to complete graduation thn now what is my question is at this situation iam eligible to write CIVIL service exams actually i want to become an IPS in my 10th i hv 87.5% nd 11 &12th standard i hav 95.1% but now in btech i hv. 10+ subjects backlog. i hope u r all understand what is my doubt what is my query. Actually btech is 4yrs course if i take 5yrs to clear all subjects thn am i eligible To write CIVIL SERVICE EXAM. pls give me appropriate answer to my query my aim is to become IPS so pls clear my doubt nd provide relevant answer.
