1.read the english news papers
2.watch the new in tv9
3.you can do hard work daily 6 hours
4.know the current events and read the gk books
5.join a coatching centres,the will teach you how to solve the quesitions and quesition paper pattern
6.in upsc mains you have select select the two optional subjects so you know better two subjects which is your interested

i	Candidates will not be allowed to offer the following combinations of subjects:
		� Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration � Commerce & Accountancy and Management � Anthropology and Sociology � Mathematics and Statistics � Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science � Management and Public Administration � Of the Engineering subjects, viz., Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering�not more than one subject � Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science
	ii	The question papers for the examination will be of conventional (essay) type
	iii	Each paper will be of three hours duration. Blind candidates will, however be allowed an extra time of thirty minutes at each paper.
	iv	Candidates will have the option to answer all the question papers, except the language papers viz. Papers I and II above in anyone of the languages included in the Eighth Schedule
	v	to the Constitution or in English.
	vi	Candidates exercising the option to answer papers III to IX in anyone of the languages included in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution may, if they so desire, give English version within brackets of only the description of the technical terms, if any, in addition to the version in the language opted by them.
	vii	Candidates should, however. note that if they misuse the above rule, a deduction will be made on this account from the total marks otherwise accruing to them and in extreme cases, their script(s) will not be valued for being in an unauthorised medium.
	viii	The question papers other than language papers will be set both in Hindi and English.
	ix	The details of the syllabi are mentioned in Section III.

tips to crack civil services exam....


1.read newspaper daily like the hindu and times of india.

2.read magazines like chronicle and manorama yearbook.

3.a good coaching to provide able guidance and study material.

4.update yourself with general knowledge aspects.

5.study hard and strengthen your plus points.

You should start browsing the past year papers to get an idea what all is asked in the exam!
Look for someone who can guide you.
Start reading more and more newpapers to increase your G.K

If you want you can buy packages to study at home!

UPSC civil services is neither a very tough exam nor so easy. If you are doing a planed study then i am sure that you will crack this exam.
Tips For Cracking exam is
1. Be confident
2. never think negative thinking in your mind
3. read news paper daily. reading newspaper is very beneficial for you because you cover a lot of awareness from this.
4. be regular that means continuity in your study is very important part of your preparation.
5. make a friend circle where you can discuss your problem related to UPSC
