The essential qualification for the upsc exams is First you should be a graduate in any stream from a recognized Indian university and secondly you should be in the age limit of 21-30 years of age. There is a relaxation provided of 3 and 5 years to the obc and the sc/st students respectively.

UPSC conducts a lot of examinations for all kinds of posts and all kinds of qualifications.The main exam is Civil Services exam.The essential qualifications for Civil services exam are Graduate in any discipline or in Final year of Graduation.The age limit should be 21-30years for General candidates.Age relaxation is provided based on categories +3 for OBC,+5 for SC/ST.The number of attempts for general candidates is 4,OBC 7 and SC/ST unlimited till the maximum age is over.

The qualification required to apply for the exam is that one MUST be a graduate(3 yrs/4yrs) from a recognized university under the UGC act. Age limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August, in the year of examination. The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable in the follwing cases: SC/ST : upto a maximum of five years. BC : upto a maximum of three years. State of Jammu & Kashmir: upto a maximum of five years. Defence Services personnel : upto a maximum of five years Number of attempts: General : four attempts. SC/ST: No restriction. Dear Friend, UPSC Stands for "Union Public Service Commission". * UPSC Conducts a number of examinations per year which are mentioned below : a) Civil services Examination b) NDA & NA Examination c) Combined Defence Services Examination d) Special Class Research Apprentice Examination e) Indian Engineering Services Examination f) Indian Forest Services Examination g) Central Police Forces Examination h) Combined Medical Services Examination i) Junior Work Manager Examination. For civil service exam :- Qualification:- The qualification required for the upsc civil service exam is the graduation in any stream from the recognized university which is approved by the ugc/aicet. the percentage of the marks is no matter for the exam.
