UPSC conducts qualifying exams and is responsible for recruitements in various government possitions.

UPSC MEANS union public service commission..its meant for the young generation to give them a chance to do something for the nation..

for this they used to conduct certain kind of examinations like NDA,CDS,IES,CENTRAL POLICE FORCES,CIVIL SERVICE EXAM,

INDIAN FOREST SERVICE,COMBINED MEDICAL EXAM,MNS(NURSING) etc

here candidates from from various field can join government sector based on his/her qualification ,for eg

-for the doctors,they can give combined medical exam,

-for nurse,they need to write MNS

-graduates they can write CDS EXAM

BUT they need to need to reach the eligibility criteria which are required

if the candidate who fails to reach that level or had given wrong information regarding his/her self then this would lead to disqualification of the person with some penalty(punishment)

The Eligiblity Criteria Are Vary From Exams to Exams. For Example - If You have Completed your 12Th Examination, Then You are eligible To Apply for NDA Examination and SCRA Examination. But To apply for NDA Examination You age Should Between 16.5 To 19 Years And for SCRA Examination Your age should between 17 to 21 Years.
