Eligibility for IAS:-
1) The candidate must have completed his graduation or technical course. Final year candidates can also apply for the examination.
2)Age limit for open category is 21-30 years. For other backward class(OBC) 3 years of relaxation & for SC/ST- 5 years of relaxation is present.
3)You must be Indian citizen to apply for the exam.
4)For open category students 4 number of attempts , 7 number of attempts for OBC, No limit for SC/ST candidates are allowed.
Important dates for civil service exam:-
- Date of issuing of application form:-04.02.2012
- Last date of receipt of Application:- 05.03.2012
- Date of exam:- 20.05.2012 (Preliminary Exam)
- Main Exam:- 15.10.2012
Eligibility for IES:-
IES Stands for Indian Engineering Services and this examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year.
To apply for this examination you have to complete your Engineering degree course form a recognised University,
Final year engineering graduates are also apply for IES Examination.
So, You have to complete your Engineering degree course in any one of the following stream :
-> Civil Engineering.
-> Mecahnical Engineering.
-> Electrical Engineering.
-> Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.
For IES Examination your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

Written examination :- 15/06/11
