I am sorry to say but being a 42 year old, you are not eligible for giving the civil services examination anyhow.
For giving the exam you need to be a graduate in any stream from a recognized indian university and your age should be in between 21-30 years.
For obc category the age limit is 21-33 years whereas the age limit for the sc/st candidates is 21-35 ears.
There is a relaxation of 10 years given to the PH students, which makes their age limit as 21-40 years.
And as you do not fit in the age limit, you are not allowed to give the exam.

Sorry at the age 42 you are not eligible for civil services examination.

Age Limit :-

GEN : 21-30 years
BC : 21-33 years
SC/ST : 21-35 years

3 years of age relaxation for BC candidates and 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST candidates and also for government employee and 10 years of age relaxation for physically handicapped candidates.

Educational Requirements :-

Candidate should be graduate and also those candidates can apply which are in last year of graduation.

No friend,there is no age relaxation for the Govt.Employee you can not appear civil services examination acccording to UPSC guidelines,as you know all civil services exams conducted by UPSC twice a year and guidelines also framed by UPSC.
ELIGIBILITY:-

1.A graduate or a final year candidate from a recognized university in any discipline can write civil services examx.

2.The age for Gen;21-30 Years.For Obc, 21-33 Years.For s.C./S.T-21-35 years.

These are the upsc guidelines the maximum age limit is given above category wise so you can not appear for Civil services exams conducted by UPSC.

you are not eligible for the upsc exams,
upsc give age relaxation to those candidates who belongs to OBC and SC/ST category,
also the candidates who are government employees gets age relaxation of 5 years.

being a government employee you will surely get age relaxation of 5 years,
age limits for you is 21 to 40 years,
being 42 years you still not eligible for the upsc exam,

so you cannot apply for the upsc exam.

Sorry to say dear you are not eligible for the exam because you cross the over age.

The exam limit for the exam is the 21 to 30 years for the unreserved category.


Age limit for the OBC category is the 33 years.


Age limit for the SC/ST category is the 35 years.


No age relaxation for the government employee.


You cross the entire age limit so you are not eligible for the exam.

Age Limitations for UPSC Civil Service Exams :

Candidate must be between 21-30 years in age and if candidate belong to reserved category as - SC/ST, OBC, PWD and Ex-Servicemen then he/she will get relaxation in upper age as per government standards which is about 5 years for Ex-Servicemen and SC/STs, 3 years for OBCs and 10 years for PWD category candidates.

You have crossed the maximum age limit and sir there is no chance for you to apply for Civil Service exams

You are a teacher in profession so that you can grow your career ahead in your present stream means if you having a post graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university with at least 50% marks then you can apply for - UGC - NET exam and also for PGT exam and if you qualify the exam then you can become a government lecturer and go for PhD also.

We are sorry to sir that you are not eligible to appear or civil services exams under UPSC board because you have crossed the maximum age limit which is required for civil services and you are not eligible in age in any condition which is SC/ST/PWD/EXS/OBC/Etc. but there is a way for you to take your career ahead in other sector which is teaching means you should go for your masters degree and after completing your master degree you can apply for UGC - NET exam and can become lecturer in some government colleges and institutes and there is no limit for age means you can apply.

hello, sorry but can,t apply for CIVIL SERVICE EXAM because your age now 42 years. for civil service exam age should be 21 to 30 years. AGE RELAXATION:- obc = 3 years sc/st = 5 years ex-servicemen = 5 years so you can see clearly your age are not match with these age so sorry. all the best

Sorry, dear you are not eligible for civil service exam, because you are over age.

There is minimum age required is:

For General Candidate 21-30 years
For OBC Candidate 21-33 years
For SC/ST Candidate 21-35 years

There is no relaxation for State Government Employees.

5 years Relaxation for Central Government Employees.

Your age is 42 years which is above all relaxations.

So you can not apply for this exam.

to apply for civil services exam conducted by upsc your age should be 21-30 years .
if you belong to OBC and SC/ST category you will get an age relaxation of 3 and 5 years respectively.
being a government employee you can get an age relaxation of 5 years more.

but since your age is 42 years so right now you are not eligible for any of the upsc exam according to the age criteria of upsc.

I'm sorry to say that you're no longer eligible for the UPSC exams.

And there's age relaxation for the Central Government Employees only.

The Age limits for the Central Government Employee:

General : 21-35yrs

OBC : 21-38yrs

SC/ST : 21-40yrs

As ZP school comes under State Government, you're not eligible even if you're 37 yrs.

a) 21-30 years for Gen on 1st August, 2012i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August,1982 and not earlier than 1st August, 1991

b)upper age limit relaxation is applicable

for SC upto 5 years
for OBC upto 3 years
for ex serviceman upto 5 years


So you cannot applicable for this exam...sorry
